You know, it used to be 90 secs for PMs and 60 secs for posting, right? Gonna be kinda hard to get it returned to those, unless you can convince him/them that we're gonna behave better this time 'round.

Congrats HB, you deserved to win - I'll take it out of my title eventually.

I was not able to be here for the prank due to a trip, but I did help with the planning, even though the almighty SGH only gives credit to FM for that.

Also, the essential idea for the whole prank was thought up by gdl96, who also couldn't be here because of the same trip.

Janny: Sir, what was...
President Hector: Who you talking to?
Janny: Um... Mr President, sir? What was wrong with the 60 sec for posts, and 90 seconds for PMs? And is there any reason why the PM timer is greater than the post one?

None taken. I do believe that's the first time I've been mistaken for a female though. I'm curious though... what gave you that impression?

Um... I dunno... I'm not so much a scolar of LotR as the rest of you are so I wouldn't know if Khamul was a man's name. That really shows ignorance, I bet it's a city or something.
Also the Avatar is in the Hanza mould, sweet and girly, again no offense.
Oh and also I never read many of your posts before i came to a conclusion on your gender...

I would say 'my pleasure' but I'd be accused of spamming and it would take me forever, well 90 seconds maybe, to contribute with my warm regards. This may be internal dissent, but reduce the rule!

Incidentally, I'm reliably informed he is a ringwraith...

Once again, no offense taken. Maybe I should go back to my evil Ringwraith avatar... And I'll be the first to admit that it's sometimes tough telling the gender of someone just from reading their posts. I get confused every now and then too. I just think this is the first time it's ever happened to me.

Btw, here's a picture of me (by far not the best picture ever taken) if you want to see how I look.

Bmilder told me last night that the pm rule was bigger than the post rule because people were using the pm system like Instant Messenger, and it was too much to handle, thus the 120 sec rule.
makes sense to me.

That makes sense Mr President, but surely instant messengers are far more efficient to use. Still, is the minimum character limit for posts still being considered?
And on the topic of IMs, how come there is something for AIM and not for MSN? Is this a difference in program, or simply popularity?

(Also I find it bizarre talking mentally to Mozart, goodness knows what it's like for you, Mr President! )

I dont know what you mean by that last comment, Secretary, but it sounds funny
as for the 15 word minimum rule, he said he'd look into it.

Mr President, if I can clarify.
the Secretary has stated that he talks to dead people
i also talk to dead people, but my company includes Elgar, Holst and Vivaldi.
As minister for Administrative Affairs, i hereby
move the notion that madness is not an ailment,
but an advantage.

You might become a VERY unpopular president if you get THIS one passed!

btw... congratulations!

Uh... wondering what kind of gang we put in office...

Remember that you didn't exactly get a 'mandate'! You got the MOST votes, but didn't get a majority - so tread a bit lightly, as President Clinton failed to do when he got elected with the same situation. Make sure to get the rest of us on board with things... or at least run them by us, and communicate with us... before trying to ram your own agenda through...

And... if you wonder why you're already catching some flack... well, should it really come as a surprise when you start with that 'Laying down the Law' stuff?

Mr. Adiministrative Affairs (doesn't work does it), I was not refer to dead people. I merely expressed the notion of mentally adressing my comments the presidents avatar, which on closer inspection and through studying the president's signature, may well be JS Bach. However it is probably not a good idea to publically express so openly my ignorance while I hold political office...

my sincerest apologies, my honourable friend.

'Yes, Minister' for the time being

on my part, i haven't got around to reading everyone's sig yet!!
but i do have regular card games with Elgar, Holst and Vivaldi
