Yeah, I missed you that much. I had to go to a Easter party with my relatives and then to the birthday party of my godfather (that sounds so strange). That was one of the worst evenings in my life. All of my family was there. Really every uncle and every cousin.

Help. I just tried to make a meaningful Quenya sentence but I'm just to dumb. I'll give it up.

I've lost all my illusions for today, so maybe I'll have another try tomorrow. Thanks.

It appears this topic has been somewhat hijacked...

Lalaith, and everyone else, the kill joys of this thread are kicking us out (that's the bad news). The good news is that our 'conversations in quenya' have been moved by our neighborhood istar Wayfarer to 'I Quenya lia'. Go there and practice with me.
Edit: nevermind, SGH trashed it. We'll just have to continue here until we get kicked out of this one. hehehe Last edited by Ruinel : 04-21-2003 at 06:54 PM. |

Scratch that. :P
Oh, by the way. My favorite tolkien language is sindarin. Nandorin is lovely as well. If only they were as complete as Quenya.

Ah, crap! I thought I did good this time. *kicks self in head*
Let me fix it... Úfailalya. Umin quet i Númenór lambë. Ar umin merë hanyas. Ávanamelya naraca. Ná úta i Quendi yassë antauva i lambë issë an Atani m* yessë, yassë nónantë? An man haryantë an antaista an I Quendi ya I Quendi úista? Sorry. Hope this helps. Let me know if I'm not using the correct endings and such. I'm still working on those. |

I would love to learn to speak Quenya, but I don't know if I have the time right now.

Your unjust. I do not speak the Numenor lanugage. And i do not want to have it. Do not judge your harshly. Isn't it the Elves in which will give the language lore for Men in the (something), in which (something-they)? For who do they have for a knowledge-giver for the Elves which the Elves don't know? I think you are confusing the suffices "you" and "your". "You" is "-l" or "-lye". "Your" is "-lya". If you meant to say "You are unjust" wouldn't you say "Ufaila nar le" or something similar. In the 4th sentence, you use "anta" with the future tense, or maybe my translation is bad. This is confusing, wouldn't it be past tense? The last sentences confused me in meaning, but I am beginner at Quenya. What does "yesse" mean? I couldn't find it.
