Did Thomas Edison "need" to invent the lightbulb? How about Benjamin Franklin, or Einstien or Newton? Many of our great minds didn't study out of necessity, but out of curiosity .

Me9996, you don't know that alians don't exist--you can't. You, personally, don't believe alians exist, which is a large difference. Until you've searched all the various galaxies and checked every hole and every last little place you can never know for sure.

Wax is a heck of a lot easier to get than electricity is, at least in the short term, so no, the lightbulb did not have to be invented. Cars didn't have to be invented. We could all still be getting around on horses and camels just fine, because family would almost never move more than a few days journey away.

A. Did you even read what I said about how we were created in God's image? If you did, you'll realize that your logic about them having to physically look like us is faulty.

B. Yes, they would need clothes to travel through space. Real life isn't like Star Trek, or Deep Space 9, or whatever the heck they're showing these days. People can't just walk around on space ships in normal clothes, or naked all of the time. What if there was a problem with the outside of their ship, and they were in space? They couldn't just step out into space, naked, and hope to survive the cold and such.

C. Like Lief pointed out--some people invent because they want to know what will happen when you stick part A to part B and flip on the power, not because they have to.

UFO's are, I think possible.
This leads me to think of something else, does Area 51 exist?

My feelings in general on the topic are that either there are NO other human-like races on other planets, or there are LOTS of 'em!

If the human race didn't fall (I gather this from discriptions of what it was like before man fell) we'd be in direct comunication with God and...

Oh, I give up looks like they won't lissen, but I'll come back with this in other places -however it's off topic here -

You do realise this picture is from a place called Area 51 where they arrange paintball games? That explains all the trees you see in the background, since the real Area 51 lies in the Nevada desert IIRC. Also, the real Area 51 wouldn't write "Area 51" on any of its signs, because that's just a name made up by others.

However there are signs around Area 51 that reads "restricted area", "no trespassing" and such.
