Never read either.
Just finished Secrets by... Kirsten... oh, it starts with an 'H' and ends in 'man'. Who cares. It wasn't that great.

I'm currently reading Beat Down to You Soul edited by Ann Charters. I just really like beat poetry....and reading about the movement and it's history. I know I'm a freak.

I'm currently reading 'O Homem Duplicado' by José Saramago. I think it's titled 'The Double' in English. (På norsk: Den andre mannen) I'm on the beginning of it and it is a very good book so far. Still I have heard others say that this is not the best publication by this author. Makes me want to read more ...

I just finished reading Sir Walter Scott's The Lady of the Lake. Wow, for a piece of poetry that sure had some surprises. The final twist was kind of sappy, but it caught me by surprise nonetheless. A masterful lay, and worth reading if you can wade through the endless descriptions, and if you like this kind of stuff.

ON THE INCARNATION by Saint Athanasius with Intro by CS Lewis (translator unnamed except as an ordered individual).
Topical, eh? Beren3000, I am delighted you like the books. Looking forward for your commentary and discussion!

Or for theology how about The Mind of A Maker (or the Maker...something). Are you sure Murder Must Advertise is the best place to start? I'd reccommend the Unpleasantness at the Bellona Club. Whose Body was the first Wimsey she wrote but it isn't the best. Nine Tailors is too much to jump into, and the Wimsey-Vane are better if you're already familiar with Lord Peter. Unpleasantness seems like a good compromise for me. For little excerpts of her thought, you can try Unpopular Opinions. The best biography (and she's a really interesting person) is Dorothy L. Sayers: Her Life and Soul by Barbara Reynolds
