I am just reading ALANNA: THE FIRST ADVENTURE right now. I am on the chapter, the Black City.
I like it so far, though I think Pierce could write a bit better. I admire Alanna's honesty and conscience, and though I can't really relate to her, I think she'd make a good friend. I can relate to Thom, and hope to hear more about him. My other favorite charcters are Sir Myles, Gary and Raoul, and George the King of Thieves. What I don't like about the book is that Jonathan and Alanna seem to be developing a 'relationship'. I like them as friends. I almost wish Alanna was really a boy because of that. Please don't kill me.

I love the book Wild Magic. Its one of my favorites. My other favorite would be probably the first Alanna book, can't rember what its called.
I really like the idea of talking with animals. I would just love it if I could talk to my horse for example. Communication with animals is a big part of my life.

LoD=Lady of Darkness
She is referring to herself, because I guess she's cold. LoD, you confuse me sometimes.

No sh*t, Sherlock! I read trashy romance novels. I would say that means I like romance too much, neh?

Tamara Pierce books
I absolutely love her books!! I read them all the time (probalby because I own one of her series). My favourite character is Tris from that series (I can't remeber right now), you know, the one with the four kids whose magic is woven together? I also like The Circle Opens series, but I am having a hard time trying to find all of the books. Anyway, Tamara Pierce rules!

Welcome Aideen_Everleaf! Although, perhaps, you might consider teaming up with LoD and learning how to spell/type...no offense, I say that to everyone that doesn't meet my insanely high standards for correct spelling and grammar. Don't mind me.
(It's Tamora Pierce, not Tamara) Welcome, and be forewarned, there are many insane people here.

Welcome, elvendrummer87! Um, don't know whether Lady Knight is out in Rohan yet, but here in the ol' US of A, it's been out since August something. I still haven't read it myself, but I've heard that it's not that great. I shan't post an opinion of my own until I actually read it, okay? Don't judge me for someone else's opinion. Enjoy your stay!

yeah, I know it's out, but the library I work at hasn't got it yet. Also I haven't been to a bookstore in a few weeks so I suppose I should check there, too. (And just after I posted that, I checked amazon and they had it. ) And I'm from NJ. WHere're you from?

Boston. Much fun; Tater's from Boston, but he's gone now...
Anyway! Yeah. Well, technically, I'm from the Undying Lands, but I decided to move to Boston because I felt like it. I'm really one of the Maiar, you know.
