Thank you. A Good thing it is I can count on my fingers! I've been scratching my noodle for a challenging question and I think have one -- we'll see. Good luck. The great horn of Boromir was the hunting horn of this Steward of Gondor, who may have fashioned it from an antler from one of the wild bovine of Oromë.

Yeah, yeah. So he wasn't a Ruling Steward? How about Vorondil? He's only one earlier than Mardil, though.

It was said that Boromir, son of Denethor, took the errand to find Imladris upon himself. Once, however, it was told otherwise. Who 'told otherwise'? (Hope you can get what I'm talking about there.)

Okay, a follow-up to Rosie's question. When did Faramir "tell otherwise," and how?

Will it be cheating if I answer? *grins evilly*
Faramir made the statement under restraint, in Minas Tirith when his father said that he wished Faramir and Boromir's places had been exchanged- essentially that Faramir had died in stead of Boromir. "May I ask you to remember why is was that I, not Boromir, was in Ithilien? It was the Lord of the City who gave the errand to him." "Stir not the bitterness in the cup I have mixed for myself...." and so on. I love that part. Such feeling.

I know what you mean. Um, let me see- my turn, right?
Allegorically speaking, Gimli chose the evening. What did Eomer choose?

Your go, TD! (Isn't that part in the book great? Eomer asking "Should I send for my sword?"- I love that part!)
