Great song, Strawberry! I like it!
I've got a new song...yay! *grin* KING OF THEM ALL (Sung by Frodo) (originally "Queen of Them All," Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young) When the journey's starting, Who's the Dunadan Who's the guide of your band, Who's the one who knows When you're on the road, Who's the one who can lead you on? And I really don't know why I got this Ring But I've got the help of one who will be King Who's a friend to halflings, Who can help you stand Who's got all the answers, When things gets out of hand Who's got all the moves He's the king of them all Well, I really don't know why I got this Ring But I've got the help of one who will be King He's the King of them all He's the King of them all Walking proud even through exile He's the King of them all.... When the army's riding Who can lead the band Who is always there for all Who can understand He's got all the moves He's the King of them all Well, I really don't know why I got this Ring But I've got the help of one who will be King And I really don't know how I destroyed that Ring But I had the help of one who is now King

okay, tanoliel, i finally got around to finishing the Legolas song. btw, i liked yours
to all: yeah, this is more about the movie-Legolas than the book, but there are no song threads that i know of in the movie section. i'm just not Tolkein-literate enough to do one about the books. (to the tune of "Go Go Go Joseph" from "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat") Once there was an Elvish Prince Named Legolas; of him I sing A member of the Fellowship of nine, protecting The One Ring. His long silver hair shone and gleamed, Girls thought it was cute in the extreme..... Legolas went questing on Shooting stuff, which he did best While out upon the World Wide Web His fans were getting quite obsessed Legolas, don't forget to watch your back, There's teenage girls just waiting to attack..... chorus: Run, run, run, run, Elfin warrior guy, Don't let them catch you, too bad you can't fly. Millions of fan sites, the sum of your fears, But what'd you expect when you've got pointed ears?

thanks guys, for indulging my, um, fetish..... NO! i mean, um, attempt at songwriting, yes, that's it. i had to go to some of those fansites to write this song, purely for research, you understand
if you're really wondering where the tune came from, i would suggest, um, not renting the movie because it's pretty whacked out, especially the song I took the tune from. i highly reccomend the soundtrack, however. no scary costumes to look at.

Something from the Muppet Movie...
The Noldor Connection
(Originally THE RAINBOW CONNECTION by Jim Henson/Kermit the Frog) Why are there so many songs of the Noldor, And where's the Undying Land? Noldor have visions, of that destination, And Noldor had much to grieve. So we've been told that some halflings may reach it, I know they?ve gone, like Gimli. Someday we'll find it, the Noldor connection, The hobbits, the Eldar and me. Who said that mannish ships could reach Tol Eressea, When sailed out from Numenor? Some people thought of that, and some kings believed it, And look what it's done so far. What's so enchanting that keeps us all sailing And where do we think we might be? Someday we'll find it, the Noldor connection, The hobbits, the Eldar, and me. None of us will live to tell, We know that the way is enchanted ............ Have you been to the sea? And have you heard voices? I've heard them calling my name. Is this the sweet sound that called the fair Quendi? The voice not heard by Atani. I've heard it too many times to ignore it, It's something that I'm s'posed to heed ....... Someday we'll find it, the Noldor connection, The hobbits, the Eldar, and me .........
