Yeah, this place is much friendlier, and much less snobby in the literary forums.

My father seriously needs to stop downloading so much and blaming the loss of speed on my (or my sisters) use of MSN.
And that while he has 3 different firewalls, 2 anti-virus programmes, 2 heavy download programmes and what more running!

*sigh* I'll turn off MSN for him though. No one up at this hour yet anyway.

Hmm, I seem to be domineering this page...
But today was truly awful:
- The mother of the kids I used to babysit a few times a long time ago committed suicide and was buried today. I knew the whole family fairly well. We all grew up in the same neighbourhood.
- A boy whom I practically grew up with, has had another psychosis and is in a mental institution right now. He seemed to be doing so much better too. The medicines he's getting now do seem to be working though, so at least that's a blessing.
- One of 3 friends I have who are still in this country announced that she too is going to study abroad for a few months. Why are they all going abroad when I am home?
- and (the least bad one when looking at this list >_<) I had a lot to do today and got quite a few things done too, but I'm so tired. I'm still not done though, because tomorrow I have to show my teacher how I'm coming along with my thesis.

Today sucks. Big time. Now I'm going to relax for an hour before continuing or I shall go mad. Hmm, and perhaps I should have some dinner... didn't have time earlier.

Couldn't sleep last night at all so I came in to school at 3 a.m. and did homework till class at 9. My voice lesson is gonna be crap considering I've got another 5 hours till then and I haven't slept since yesterday morning. Blech.

I hate it when my brain gets in the way of what I need to do. I'd cancel my lesson but I know my voice teacher would probably dock me big time. Get this: I've been more diligent about attending lessons than 9/10th of my studio mates, but for two weeks during the opera I was five minutes late to my Monday lessons. And I got fussed at for it. So apparently I still have 'catching up to do'... right, she's been late plenty of times, or extended the lesson, or shortened the lesson... don't whine at me because you had five extra minutes to sit and write e-mails .

I also have a dictation quiz and sight singing quiz at noon. Urrrrgh.

You know the feeling that you might be getting into something that you will probably really regret - not because anything is likely to go wrong, but because the people involved just really rub you the wrong way?

I've committed to something like that, and it pays well so I'm not going to back out, but I just know that by the time I'm through with it I will be seething inside. I've only spoken to the people twice (once via e-mail) so far, and they've already managed to offend me without even meaning to at least five times.

Wow, they are very good at it if they can offend you 5 times through email while they hardly know you.
By the end of the time you work with them, please tell me their secret, it might come in handy some day.

But serious: good luck with it Willow!

*siddles up next to SABB* I know the feeling. My shoulder hates me for sending it to PT, but hey, its supposed to help so it wont hurt more later on...

*hugs* Don't be scared, that just makes it seem worse than it really is. Just plow through it.

Alright, Link it is then.

But yeah, I know it kind of sounds crazy to hurt your body more, in order to fix it, but it does work! they aren't really damaging it, they are just...um, undoing the damage done previously, which doesn't want go go away.

when any kind of muscle, ligament, or bone heals it can be a painful process. Just working out for the first time can be painful because your muscles are repairing the damage done to them during the workout session. Hang in there, Link. We're here for you!

I think their secret is just that they're so self-absorbed that they don't think about what they're saying as being insulting. They are just different enough in class and attitude that little comments which from a relative, co-worker or classmate would be totally normal take on implications that rub me the wrong way.
And they don't answer either their phone or their e-mail, so I actually have no idea if they still need me to do it or have made other plans or what. Which is just plain rude.

Wow, Willow. They do sound pretty self-involved. I hate it when people dont get back to me, it gets pretty annoying after a while.
Good luck with that whole situation.

Mine: I have to print 82 pages of stuff for one of my classes tomorow, and guess what's not working.

Go on, guess.

That's right: the printer.

Yeah, isn't it funny the way two different people can do the exact same thing, and with one it doesn't matter or it's funny, and with the other it's just annoying?
