You guys wanna see a liger? I wonder if ligers go bananas when they smell catnip. Things that make you go "hmmmm..."

Ciao, Acalewia. You've had that "strider8" avvie for a while, huh?

I'm having virtual echinacea/catnip green tea tonight here at the Teacup *snuffles miserably, disorientedly searches for overstuffed cafe chair to collapse into* There's a liger wandering around in the Teacup Cafe tonight, though, and the smell of the catnip in the tea is making him extremely agitated, in an unbalanced, unpredictable kind of way.

Speaking of Chickens Kicking, I should get chicken soup tonight for supper...

Several strong doses of Rum mixed with cola will settle your stomach, calm you down and then you won't even remember what you were feeling earlier.

That's a good question, I don't know WHY they're bred. Why WOULD people want to make ligers? Damn good question.

- Following from NationalGeographic.com

" It's half lion, half tiger, and completely real. Now thanks to a cameo in the 2004 cult movie Napoleon Dynamite, the liger has leaped into the limelight, prompting fans to ask, What are they really like?

The faintly striped, shaggy-maned creatures are the offspring of male lions and female tigers, which gives them the ability to both roar like lions and chuff like tigers—a supposedly affectionate sound that falls somewhere between a purr and a raspberry.

Weighing in at about a thousand pounds (450 kilograms) each, they typically devour 50 pounds (23 kilograms) of raw meat in a meal.

"For the most part they're really laid back," said Jason Hutcherson, vice president of Wild Animal Safari in Pine Mountain, Georgia. "They like to swim and play in the water."

The drive-through wildlife park is believed to have the country's largest concentration of ligers, housing ten of the massive cats.

Since 1999 the park has bred its male lion and female tiger many times, producing about 24 cubs."

Yeah there is, of course there's a difference, open thine eyes!! There's a mane, plus stripes; lions do not have stripes and tigers do not have a mane. PLUS, ligers are much huger, I think.

look again, here's another one:

They are. It's a trip, huh? But I personally think it's awfully unethical to make ligers. Why do people breed ligers, for what purpose? Anyway.

Green tea. Serving green tea tonght at Teacup. trolls' bane says it's good for sickies, so I'm taking his advice. Plus it's more palatable than echinacea.

lol! No, it's not an illusion, it's really that big. This liger & lady were on a television show - the Discovery channel or something, not too long ago, so I saw the liger and her moving around and stuff. He's freakin' GI-NORMOUS.
