Yes, I last got in on Sunday and then nada, 'website not responding'. Neither entmoot or tolkientrail. Just yesterday I got back in and not a problem since then. And in the mean-time I got emails when people posted in threads I had subscribed to so I knew other people were getting in.
For a moment I was even considering whether I had said something in the Paris thread that Echelon didn't agree with because I was kicked out shortly after. It was all very weird. Buuuut if it was an attempt to demote me and steal my chocolate stash, it failed. You will never be rid of me! Muhahahah! At least, until the next time this thing happens... Well, I hope you all enjoyed your Eärniel-free time. (If you even realised you had it, that is. ) |

I’m certain no one wants to you to stop being an admin, Eärniel, and even less being with us at Entmoot! Eärniel-free time is lonely and too quiet. As for Echelon … well, you never know with folks like that. They can’t catch spies or terrorists, but then, the program probably has more to do with collecting taxes (from us common folk: the really rich are exempt anyway, because He who has the gold make the rules (the secular version of the golden rule)) than with national security, unless of course we try to replace them with honest rulers.
However, if you ever leave that Belgian chocolate lying around … I might not be able to control myself … it’s only chocolate … unloved, unwanted …. unwatched … … uneaten … … … |

Because she was the last person elected when the moot had enough people to actually hold one? Hasn't been done since, to my knowledge.

Well, can't argue with that since I've absconded with so much unattended chocolate already.
I'll just go and put a new lock on my secret chocolate stash, then. Maybe add an alarm -or a dragon- when I'm at it... You know, I don't recall. And the Ererbor Dwarves won't let me check the specs on it anymore, they say the pentagon might complain otherwise if I learn to use all the options installed on that gecko. Enough people, but not enough interest. So for the good of the nation (ahem) we mods deposed the last elected president when she was still in power way over her allotted tenure and installed an enlightened dictatorship. |

Oh, yeah, that's right. Is it my turn to be dictator yet?

What genre did you try? I'd love to try to write a book, but I can't think of a plot that I consider original enough to actually put work into it. I feel like it would all be just copy-cat from something I've already read.

I decided to mesh genres. Paranormal, which is one of my normal genres, and Apocalyptic, with zombies and all that, which I have never done

Yeah, it turns out most of what I'm drawn toward when it comes to reading is sci-fi/fantasy, but mostly I read teen fiction (I find I really don't trust adult fiction not to be explicit anymore - and even some of the classic stuff is pretty racy at times) ... And I've actually started picking up CHILDREN'S chapter books since the teen stuff is getting rather sordid also.

I usually write fantasy and paranormal. Paranormal is actually more recent since I won a spot in an anthology with a paranormal short story.
Personally I like leaving stuff to the imagination and I really don't do the sordid stuff

I agree. I hate explicit sex in my reading matter. I have actually taped portions of the Sookie Stackhouse novels together so I don't have to wade through all that

Oh, that's quite clever and funny, Nerwen! I don't know if I could bring myself to do that to my books, but I do like that.
I'm working my way through the Wheel of Time books now. Oh, and I also have officially started my career as a Youtube gamer! I've got a couple videos uploaded and will probably make them public in a couple of days. I feel like my commentary game leaves quite a bit to be desired, but that's okay. I'll get better.

I got four uploaded and decided to redo them all. Turns out recording over Bluetooth makes for BAD quality audio. I'll put up links when I end up getting them all fancy-schmancy'ed up.
Ugh. Anyone else have the sick? We're coughing and sneezing and snotting all over the place in my house. And that's more than usual, what with the baby and all.
