You need a hug! *hugs* There's nothing wrong with being short. Power to the short people! Some of my friends used to call me a dwarf (this was when we were all extremely into LotR). It wasn't meant in a mean way, but it got really annoying and I had to keep telling them to stop. I'm still short compared to a lot of my friends, but not as much as before. I can always pretend I'm tall around the shorter people I know.

Think of it this way: at Starbucks, all us awesome short people would be tall, because the smallest cup that you can get any drink in is called a 'tall'.

Okay, stop me if you've heard this.

Three dynasties walk into a bar on a casino ship.

The first one's named Yoshimi and he says: You are unjust, you don't care about the people, and the bartender kills him.

The second one's named Chiyan and he says: I can't believe you did that! and he tries to attack, and the bartender kills him.

The third dynasty looks at the bartender and says: Man, your temper is worse than mine is. Thanks, anyway. and the bartender kills him.

Well, the entire population of the bar is shocked. I mean, they don't know what to say, and they're afraid to move. But a guy comes out of the back and sees the bodies and says: My GOD!!!!!! What happened here???? and the bartender turns calmly to him and says:

I was a minor league ballplayer for 30 years. And I've always hated Sho boats.

Straight Edge is when you rock out but without drugs or alcohol because you want to keep your body pure. May or may not also involve being a vegetarian/vegan. Also implies chastity.

People seldom do. I used Azareal's story as the basis of a traditional format joke.

When I read his description, I just thought... "Three dynasties walked into a bar. "

Um, edited to say The expression 'showboat' is often used to describe someone, often in sports, who does things just to show off, and not for the good of the team.

No, thanks.. I'm good on the hugs, Az.

And I love being short. I can take anything you throw at me and laugh. It's not mean; usually it's true. But I just don't like people calling me midget regularly (once or twice... okay, but stop after I say) because there are people who are really midgets and I don't know. It's like calling someone who does something stupid "retard" or something like that.

So we're lazy, Tessar. Thanks for telling us. I liked the idea of straight edge.

I am eating my apple jacks now.

Its like this: Theres three dynasties, Sho, Chiyan, and Yoshimi. Sho is the main, it is considered the empire. The rules of Sho are tyrants and charge high taxes and kill those who appose. Chiyan is lead by the brother of Sho's Emperor, and he fights back the tyrants, with force. They do not care about the people of Sho as long as they bring them down. Yoshimi was formed by the Prince of Sho (before the rulers of this era so...2 generations or so before) and he formed a nation that fights back but fights for the people. They also live as equals to their people. The royal family works for its people and vise versa.

Theres much more in to the story I've made it, but that was the basicics of it.
We have a section in the forum just for story writing. Post it in the Writer's Workshop. I'll read it. It sounds good

Hiiiiii Acally! How are you today?
I tackled another part of the HORROR that is also called my room. At the moment there are 2 spots of carpet I can see and no bed, but at least my bookcase and DVD/CD case is looking good. And I think I'm able to stuff it all away. It just looks like a disaster right now... *is dreading the continuation of this already week long struggle*

I'll start my summer holidays next week - and Mari, your project looks very much like what I ought to spend my holidays doing, apart from that I'm not sure I'm able to stuff it all away. ...

Virtue is usually its own punishment.

I'd have you cuddle up with me, but i'm dashing out in a couple of minutes to go see a young friend of mine in a play.
