I know, but I was just so frustrated with the whole 10k/bmp/jpeg thing that I decided to post just the messed-up picture of me because I couldn't get both of us in the picture w/o it being over 10K .... Actually, that was from last year, and I looked extreemly weird then because me and the camra person had just been joking around about me being a tree hugger! They make you take those spring pictures, and do stuff like stand or sit in front of trees. I asked the camra person if I could be standing up and hugging the tree, but they said that they only let yunger kids do that. Stupid camra person!

While I've been going about my duties today, I've been deciding which elves you guys remind me of. So here is a continuation (Andúril was Fingolfin) :

men:
Khamûl - Beleg Strongbow of Doriath - Khamûl has nice broad shoulders, and I can see him patrolling Doriath's borders, shooting orcs (and misbehaving 'Mooters ), then coming back to the palace and dining with Lúthien;

Coney - Fingon the valiant - Coney has nice strong features, esp. the chin, and I can see him setting his chin and heading out alone into danger to rescue his friend Maedhros;

women:
This is a little harder, because there are so few women, so I had to include some of the Valier (female Valar):

Samwiselvr - with her pretty hair, has to be a niece of Galadriel the fair, of the house of Finarfin, whose members had golden and reddish-golden hair. Galadriel's brother Angrod was married, so Samwiselvr is a daughter of Angrod whose name Tolkien never told us.

EXK - Nessa, spouse of Tulkas, the great fighter of the Valar. Nessa is "lithe and fleetfooted. Deer she loves, and they follow her train whenever she goes in the wild; but she can outrun them, swift as an arrow with the wind in her hair."

Artanis - Well, I pictured her as a blonde Norwegian, but it looks like she has dark hair! Her picture reminds me of Varda, the great Valië, who is beloved of the elves and is the kindler of the stars.

TC - reminds me of Lúthien Tinúviel, the most beautiful of the children of Iluvatar, dancing in the deep woods of Doriath. (and I had even forgotten that your Entmoot name was TinuvielChild, because I always call you TC!)

Baby K - sorry, I can't see your face, so I can't tell;
Blackboar - which one are you in the pic?

And good news (at least for me, because I'll be able to prove that I'm not really colored pink and orange) - I found someone with a digital camera, so I'll try to get a pic of hubby 'n me this weekend.
