Anyway, about the snails in my tank: I'm pretty sure now that their nerites, but I dont know for sure. But if that's the case, then if I decide to sell them, they wont be worth as much. Oh, well. Their cute.

More happiness! I just made reservations for Cinderella the musical, with music by Rodgers and Hammerstein, but all translated in Dutch. The lead played by a famous Dutch singer, Do.

I'm going on Friday next week! Going with public transport will be hell, but it's sooo worth it!!!

They also have a movie version of it, with Whoopi Goldberg and forgot his name and that singer Whitney Houston. Happy happy happiness!!!

It's a rather funny movie though, thanks to Whoopi as Queen.
The Queen and King have sort of a Keeping Up Appearances relationship.
(I hope you know the show Keeping Up Appearances. It's brilliant.)

It's an old show from Great Britain about a couple and the wife is trying to be very elegant and to keep up the appearance of being very elegant and refined, despite her family being "not so sophisticated". So she tries to hide her family, make sure everyone notices how great she is and keep her husband in check. Basically she is very pushy and bossy, but it's funny.
For me this show is in the same league as 'Allo 'Allo, M.A.S.H and the Nanny

Chicago-area sports fans haven't had too much to be excited about lately - with the struggles of the Bears (football) and Bulls (basketball).

But... I'm also a University of Illinois alumni, and yesterday, Illinois' football team upset #1 ranked, previously undefeated Ohio State!!!

So, at the singing thing this last week we were sitting in a concert, and a VERY cute baritone had just finished singing, and we were joking about how hot he was.

My friend next to me was obviously suffering from severe starvation, and had just finished complaining of it once again.

So I leaned over during the clapping and whispered, "I have a few dollars on me--do you want to sneak out after the next person and get something from the vending machine?"

... she misheard me.

This is roughly how it went:

Me: I have a few dollars on me--do you want to sneak out after the next person and get something?

Her: ... WHAT?

Me: ... umm... snacks?

Her: OH! Oh, for SNACKS! Oh my God, I thought you meant to stick on the singer or something!

At which point I proceeded to stuff my fist into my mouth because RIGHT THEN THE CLAPPING STOPPED AND A SOPRANO WALKED ONTO THE STAGE.

omg. If I had laughed right then it would have been abject humiliation for me.

So for the next three singers I was trying to not lose it.

i just witnessed an amazing sunset from the fifth floor of the department.. it was just what i needed.

and i found my very important lab notebook that i lost yesterday! don't know what i would've done if i hadn't found it.

I'm really happy, I finally have some anemones growing in my tank, usually people want to keep them out because they can become invasive, but I wanted to have some because I think they add some realism to the tank. I had them in another tank I'd done, but they died because their zooxanthellae couldnt get enough light. But I'm equiped to nurture them now, so I'm fabulously excited. After Christmas I'll be putting in some bubbletip anemones as well, so it'll look great by then.

Also, I'll be setting up a tank for someone else to either A) put a longhorn cowfish in or B) an octopus, so I'm blasin' through the roof I'm so happy because my tank is growing and doing well, plus I get to set up another one which I LOVE to do.

I'll not post a picture until I get a few anemones in it, right now it just looks so drab. There's a maroon clownfish, yellowhead jawfish, two skunkback shrimp, one blood shrimp, several margarita, nerite, and cerith snails, as well as the polyps mentioned above. All in all not much collor, but once I get everything I want in there I'll post a picture, or a series of pictures, once I figure out how. Either way I wont be able to until after Christmas.
