Coffeehouse, I'll get to that map soon. I need to fish up my own map to see where I had put everything. (Desk's a mess, may take a day.)

Four days on a plane? Well, safe trip in any case.
But that reminds me of the following, how are everybody's holiday plans? I'm away most of July, the 2nd until the 28th. I suppose the game will be non-plot for most of that period.

I'm not going anywhere, but I'm juggling several other creative projects on top of increased work hours and moving, so my posts are likely to continue their current rate of infrequency.

My holidays are at about the same time as yours, Eärniel.
I might be able to do non-plot posting, though - I don't know in advance. For various reasons I haven't been able to have Baru react visibly to the current events - it may still happen, though. Or she might chime in with a reaction to something else.

Well, my posting will continue with the same (in)frequency, too. I'll be away the first week in August (camping outside a castle ) but otherwise will be lurking about the boards the same amount as usual.

On a plane from morning to afternoon on the 27th (a Sunday). In San Diego from the 27th to the 29th, then in Hawaii from June 29th to July 12th. Return home sometime on the 13th of July.
So, it looks like that's at least another couple of weeks of the same as usual when it comes to me posting anything.

Okay, "y'all", if you've been keeping up with the Game thread and wondering why you didn't get in on the action, you now can! Blossomshade will need to meet someone at camp to tell them all that's been going on.
She's set off now, so anyone at camp can go ahead and post a meeting with her.

Hmmm... no takers? It looks like Earn's back (or on her way) and the holidays are beginning to come to a close. If no one will volunteer to meet Blossomshade, I'll do what the annoying lower-elementary school teachers did, and just have Blossomshade run into the person who's going to be least likely to be happy to see her.
I'll give it a bit more time - obviously not everyone's back. No big rush...

Well, I've been having an interesting month.
Earn told me to get everyone set up at camp where Aerin, Magor and Aelfwine are now. However, I'm thinking maybe it would make more sense to make a camp on the edge of the cliffs above the field as well. Once everyone is there, it shouldn't be difficult for some crafty people to make ladders to get in and out of the pit - they are in a forest, after all. And can you imagine the agony of marching each one of the Company through that hours-long canyon to get to the end? And it's true - if they were attacked, it is more than likely that they would have no escape route if they all were packed in that little field. Like Bilbo and the dwarves once were, I have a hunch they'd be camped on the enemy's front porch. Make sense to anyone else?

I haven't had times yet to read up but I'm not against moving the camp elsewhere than I had originally said. But let's make that an in-game discussion, it's a good opportunity for our characters to compare and decide on the benefits of the different camping grounds.
One thing though, we're not in a forest, at least not if we follow Tolkien's Middle-earth's map. So I figure the mountainous area we're in probably has a tree here and there, but not enough to call it a forest. However, I reckon we'll have a decent amount of rope, so we probably will be able to make rope-ladders.

Ah. Okay. Should I change some of my posts then or are they appropriate? I was under the impression there were more trees around. Check it when you read through and let me know, if you don't mind.

Hm, you mention trees here and there, but you never call it a forest, so I think it's hardly worth the bother of editing your posts. You can let it all stand.
Nice work, by the way, of bringing us to the canyon.

Thanks. I am glad that Acally got to join in. I was afraid it would feel awkward if there were like, 5 or 6 posts from me all in a row, or if there was a giant post.
