I had a dream that Calgary won the Stanley cup! Here's rootin for the defeaters of the noble Canucks. Let's hope this dream was prophetic.
I randomly like Tampa Bay, I'm glad they're in the finals too. Since they won, it seems like they held true to the pattern. I heard an announcer guy say that neither team had won consecutive games. Go Flames! (The Canucks are my favourite, but with them out, here's hoping the Cup stays in Canada, where it belongs. )

Oh, just wait until you see some of the photos I've been taking at the games I attended.
Calgary's going nuts.

There is something against the laws of nature having a hockey team in Florida. I tell you, no good will come of this. If you ask me, having the Stanley Cup in Tampa Bay will lead to the end of civilization as we know it!!!

Ha, ha! But that's kind of what makes it fun, like the Jamaican bobsled team or something.
Anyway, it was a great game and a great series, thanks to Calgary for that! I know, in these situations the distinction between winning and not winning is so arbitrary, either side could have taken it. But I'm glad mine did this time! |

I can somewhat understand Toronto since I have heard that Toronto compared as the NYC of Canada {ie a big market team}. (except they seem to make the playoffs on a regular basis ) I do not know what NJ's payroll is compared to other teams, but my general impression is that NJ is a well run team from top to bottom and strives to stay within a certain budget. (I know they have let certain players {even popular players, like Holik to name one player} leave rather than pay more than what NJ thought they were worth) Congratulations to Tampa for winning a well played Finals. Calgary played well as well. It is too bad that someone had to lose. I think that Canada needs more teams (6 teams of 30 total) than the US for them to have a statistically better chance at bringing the Cup back to Canada.

My, my that bragging signature went quickly... what was the score in in the end? 4 - 3?
No really? What was it... NO coverage at ALL in England!

The difference between Tampa Bay and the Jamacan bobsledders is that Tampa Bay knew what they were doing!!!
