Wtf? What do you mean the Teacup doesnt serve booze? The skybar, the drinking competitions, the sophisticated mixing of delicate cocktails for patrons inumerable and long since gone is what made this dumb thread go for fourty some damn iterations. Its roots were soaked in booze from getgo, and that was back when this board actually had minors and some life to it! This was the place where young mooters had their first taste of champagne, or cider or ale after a good debate or a rousing rpg! Where saplings became elflords while sipping their tipple of choice! Or have you forgotten?

The dance parties, the champagne flowing from bottles rare and priceless... the banter amidst cocktails and good food and friendship. Those echoes are the only damn reason I'm moping around in this haunted ghost town of a place! So, none of this prohibition nonsense, if you please; my reasons for visiting here are slim enough as it is. I don't want to disown the Teacup for insulting its own memory. Bah!

*Rips off sheets from the bar. Blows off dust from the once crystal glittering shelves, with dusty forgotten bottles and fading lables. And mixes herself a whisky sour for old times' sake. Saluting the mirror infront of her, behind the old bar.*

Do we need a bartender, then? I'm sure it's likely that whoever was filling that role in the old times has long-since abandoned their post.

It's not that I'm fearful of the word "alcohol" (although I do abstain). It's just... it's called the Teacup. Not the Boozecup.

It's a Cafe; where I come from, that means it can and also does serve alcohol. Especially in France, which is what this place was styled after; Bars and cafes are interchangeable. Also, a teacup is a vessel, you can pour whatever you want in it. Tea-cocktails are a thing. Haven't you ever heard of the 5pm Englishman's Special?

Thanks Rian. I'm still devastated at his loss. He was a truly great man and my dearest of friends. He showed me kindness and had faith in me when I had none. He was a selfless, generous and fundementally GOOD soul. The sort of decent people that are so rare as to almost be myth. His loss left a gaping hole in the hearts of those that loved him and robbed the community here of a pillar that held it fast. I miss him.

Being neither a drinker of booze nor specialty teas (my preferred tea is Sweet Iced, since I live in southish US), I don't usually frequent bars OR cafes, and so am unfamiliar with these types of establishments, other than what I've seen on TV and movies and read in books.

However, books like LOTR and such have always made me wish I did drink a pint every now and then, but I am 100% sure I would not be able to handle it.

This summer a gecko got into my apartment. I chased it but it hid behind a chair and I couldn't get it. Attalus says they eat bugs and if it gets a wasp or a roach we should give it a nice juicy moth
