Fellowship left Rivendell on December 25th! (3018)

And... Alqualaure, here's something perhaps of interest. Amroth ruled Lorien until - oh I think about 1981 - just after the Balrog appeared in nearby Moria. There was a general flight from the area - which is why Amroth and Nimrodel left, intending to take their west-bound ship trip.

It was after this that Celeborn and Galadriel were invited in to reign in Lorien (experts: if I'm off, help me here - this is from foggy memory). However, I THINK there may be something in UT about them being in Lorien in the Second Age...??? JRRT changed his mind about some historical events and never worked it all out to perfection - but why should he have - it's all fictitious history anyway!

You're right. (and if you looked in the appendixes - it's not fair. I suspect so because there was no specific date in FOTR)

Anyway you're right abuot UT. But therer are many versions in UT... the story in UT, is, btw, the shortened.
