Anyways: If we're not going to do LotR/WSS, then I can't participate. I have to admit that WSS is the only musical I know well enough (the only short one anyways...Fiddler is huge, Sound of Music too...) to help out in a major way.

Today in entmoot current President Hector Berlioz is doing his best to keep the peace between his female admirers and all the presidential hopefuls that are snarling at his heels for his job. Actually real dogs are snarling at his heels, we believe thanks to unsubstantiated reports that some overzealous campaigners soaked his socks in raw meat to account for the unwanted attention of our canine friends.

In retaliation the President has dominated the campaign thread and actual candidate news has been dropped to the last page. The president announced that "all he wants is a confession" and that "no harm will come to those involved" when that happens he says that the candidates may return to their normal activities, until then however I advise any parties that value their dignity and their chances of election to steer clear of Hector's national security programs.

In other news the candidates haven't really gone anywhere and are now under domestic surveillance. Along with sisaunt who, while not a candidate, has been both vocal critic, and screaming fan of the current administration.

to distinguish between my profession, as a member of the 4th Estate, and my personal friendliness, in non-campaign environments. I know *I* can.

Most of those Senators share a cloakroom, without undue violence, whatever their campaign issues.

A "Lord of the Ring Cycle" would actually be a better fit than most things, due to JRRT's (imo unfortunate) attachment to Teutonic faerie.

The Passing of the Grey Company ought by rights be set to the Ride of the Valkyries anyway. I always hear that when I get to that part.

We also put out the following official unoffical warning: either Big Hec distances himself from his poisonous PR hack or he be tainted totally by the association.

The friends of Duke S move that any mootian unlawful surveillance be either officially sanctioned or be declared illegal.
