oh, I thought they were solitary animals like our hammikins.

So the buggers are social, eh? Well, I guess you'll have to sponsor a few "getting to know you" dances or something - try low lights and soft music ... Good luck!

*sigh*

I feel guilty about various things.

Various things I need to just suck up, get over, and move on from.

Yay me. And yay for staying up till 5 a.m. even though I was exhausted at 8 p.m.! Woohoo!

Okay, I'm going to bed now. Things had better look brighter in the morning, or I'm gonna have to fish-slap some sense into myself .

'Dear' new neighbours, that is, I assume you lot belong to the newly renovated villa on the parrallel street, I hate you already! Where on earth did you get that firework? That much noise has to be illegal, especially that late in the evening. I don't wanna know how many dogs broke out and how many kids woke up. You spooked the cats big time.

And if that wasn't enough, your music, which sounded like right below my window, kept me up til 5 in the morning! I had to sleep in the library, you bastards! Next time I'll seriously consider of siccing the police on your egoistic illegal asses, if they were any help. Here's to wishing the most cruel and inventive punishment on you lot, and at 4.30 in the morning, when I'm tired as hell, having to put my fingers in my ears to drown out your noise, I can think of pretty cruel things. I hope you all have severe alcohol intoxication for starters.

Oh, and your taste of music really sucks.

Having had an exam in microscopic pathology not even two hours ago - I can tell you that in viral pneumonia, the alveolar walls will look really thick and there will be white blood cells in the interstitium but the alveoli themselves will be rather emtpy so you probably won't cough up any phlegm

Well, thank you. But I was hoping for something more genralized (wow, hearing that from me!). Like, what are the major symptoms? Is there any treatment that isn't just supportive? More specifically, will treatment with anything other than interferons make it "go away"?

What would make you suspect viral, rather than bacterial, pneumonia. As opposed to bronchitis, say? Have you had pneumonia before?

I have never had pneumonia before, and God forbid that I ever do.
(LOL! Who said anything about me being the one with pneumonia? )

I suspect viral, because a friend of mine who was recently diagnosed with pneumonia said the day before that she had "influenza", which, as you recall, is a virus, and furthermore can bring about the onset of pneumonia. I just figured that if a doctor determined that it had something viral infection before pneumonia came into play, then, logically, it would be a viral pneumonia. (Virus + pneumonia = viral pneumonia.) I asked her, but she didn't know.

EDIT: Here's some more heartening news:
Although viral pneumonia does occur, viruses more commonly play a part in weakening the lung, thus inviting secondary pneumonia caused by bacteria.

This might explain why her doctor prescribed antibiotics (which cannot treat viruses) rather than something that won't make viral infections worse.

Have been "infected" by a popup from (in order for this not to become a link) a d s e r v i n g . c p x i n t e r a c t i v e . c o m which keeps popping up with offers of various kinds.

Anyone know how I can get rid of it since the virusprogram and Windows security does no good at all.

Much obliged.

Best

GW, have you tried just yanking it out from your programs? I've had to go through one at a time, before, but your operating system should show it as a recent download of somekind.

I hate spyware.

Two links for this problem.

Hope this helps.

I won an Eddie Izzard DVD on eBay nearly a month ago, but it hasn't arrived yet, and the seller has not replied to my attempts to contact him. Grr!

Try looking at what you're telling yourself that causes you to conclude that you're "a bad person." It'll take a little practice, probably, to catch it as it goes by, because much of that programming is kind of sub rosa, but you should be able to listen in, if you try.

Look at the list of criticisms you hear. Are they reasonable? For example, "You don't send a thank you to Aunt May's birthday check, therefore you're a bad person." If you conclude you agree, you find a way to send a thank you. If you say, "Aunt May really understands when I'm busy at school, but looks forward to seeing me on the break." you stop beating yourself up. Either way, you've uncovered an energy drain.

Takes a while, to untangle that stuff, but it's worth it. Being enraged and depressed is a non-optimum use of your youth, and it only gets worse as you grow older. Not fair to Fire-Boy, neither.

Just a suggestion.
