I have a perfect example of why my husband should stay trimmed, but not shaven:

Shortly after we got married, he shaved his beard that he'd had for four-ish months. He REALLY changes his look based on whether he's bearded or not. Anyway, the next Sunday, we went to church and the only reason people figured out he was who he was was because he was with me and holding my hand and everything.

It always used to take me a week to get used to it when he would shave - back when we were first dating.

Hmmm, been thinking a lot recently about people getting their "come-uppance." A couple of people who used to really bug me with their horrible work ethics have messed themselves out of jobs and academic opportunities because of things they did that annoyed their classmates/co-workers. Then the coworkers shared the nasty things those people had been saying about their bosses/teachers. Needless to say, the teachers were not amused.

Just been thinking about it because I was sure that I would be relieved to not have to work with those people any more, but in a weird way I feel bad for them instead of relieved. If they had just been nice to their friends and co-workers, the teachers and bosses never would have even found out. Of course it would have been smarter not to say anything at all (I rarely vent my feelings to -anyone- who is even remotely related to music or my school) but even then they could've gotten away with it if they had just been kind.

I was already aware that those things happened, but I've seen it happening a lot recently... especially the last few weeks. Lots of people I used to know that have used up all of their second chances and are paying for it.

That's sad. Honestly. I too feel pity for all but the most evil of people...

But life can be bright too! Art club today!! And me and my buddy got some skinning to do...

Summer's well and truly over now. Nasty, cold and wet weather.

At least there's always a nice cup of tea in the Teacup...

One can only hope that they will have learned from the experience and will not repeat it.

I like cold weather. Far more so than hot.

Oh, definitely. Especially if its a muggy hot. I cannot bear that stuff. Give me the cold, and a blanket to wrap up in any day.

We've had rainy weather the past few days. I'd prefer that to the melt on the sidewalk heat we've had this year.

Besides I love the rain

I discovered today that I can't say, read, write, or even think the word "naughty" without bursting out laughing. I don't know why. But it's seriously a hilarious word.

NAUGHTY!!!!!!

We were trying to talk about Zeus being a naughty god, and I was cracking up hardcore... at first I thought it was just the subject, but then I realized it was the actual word "naughty". Bahahaha.

I know I can't hear Stephen Fry say "moistness" without laughing.

Naughty, hah! I can't imagine it not being said with some type of English accent. Don't know why, but whenever I say it, or heard it said, it rewrites itself as being in an English accent, regardless of how the speaker said it.

Well, not that I'd mind to have some days of sun, but don't usually bad things happen to guys who go off to fetch the sun? Prometheus comes to mind...

Yeah, isn't he the one who tried to fetch the sun, but the eagles came and started tearing out his liver, and he was like, "Oh, Cripes! This is so Posiedon's fault! Curse you!" then he was super mad so he went and blinded a Cyclops, and Posiedon got mad and swatted him out of the air, making him have to make a 9 year journey home, but then he killed someone so the gods made him perform a ton of heroic tasks like cleaning out an ox stable and killing a minotaur? Then there was some other stuff about having to kill medusa and after that he became a famous gladiator and freed Rome from tyranny but only at the cost of his own life.

True story: I am awesome at mythology. I'm pretty sure I'm 100% accurate on Prometheus' story right there.

You forgot the bit about him eating his children, so that none of them could overthrow him. Also feeding his brother his own children in revenge for something or druther, and sacrificing his daughter to the gods for a successful war against Troy, and eating some lotuses and things.

Nope, when an Elf promises the sun to another. Too many women anyway.

I'll make my sis do it. Nah... bad things? I'd prefer something else for a change.
