Do you hunt and peck, in order to be on Entmoot?

vent - our school's candy sale starting up again *grumble grumble*
and YET AGAIN they CANNOT give me the input file in the same format, and YET AGAIN I have to reprogram my input routine to accomodate them! This year, it's putting in tabs instead of spaces, and putting first name in the first field. It's easier to reprogram than to ask them to try to do it the way they did it last year, tho. Update on last week's vent on Football Moms - it turned out to be a non-issue for that night, because hubby got off work early and we pulled into the parking lot at the same time . The main reason I vented here was to make myself accountable for dealing with my prejudiced attitude - how I was just judging them based on people I knew in the past, and was not even going to give them a chance to be judged themselves. I think I"m doing better now, and I've even come up with a scheme that I think might let us talk around some common interests - it gets pretty nippy at the games, and I crocheted a pretty red scarf yesterday (school colors are red and black). I think I"ll offer to crochet a bunch to be sold to raise money for the team. I think the moms would like some, because scarves are in style right now, and they're certainly practical for the games, and it would be fun to have matching scarves to wave at touchdowns! Anyway, I'll give it a try.

thanks! and if they're snooty to me, I can always let my crochet hook kind of "slip" ... "oops, so sorry!"

Vent: Natural oil reserves are globally being depleted. Oil prices have nowhere to go but up. Around twenty to thirty years from now, there will be no more oil available for cars. We will need to have a good Democrat as president before then.
Republicans are working on building this new technology of a hydrogen fueled car, but I just get the impression it's not as high a priority with us as it is with the Democrats. I think the issue is urgent. Vent: I'm not an Arab(Oil=$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ ).

- oil companies have been overstating reserves; there's less left than we think there is - the real crisis will happen not when oil runs out, but when demand exceeds supply, which they are predicting for around 2010. 5 years..oh, 4.5 years. tick tock tick tock - hydrogen fuel costs more in energy than you get out of it Reasons to be cheerful: - wind power - organic (= carbon neutral) diesel - er - that's it |

Have been debandaged (of the blue tighter type) and rebandaged (with the slightly more flexible white type) and on the 22 of September they're gonna take out the stitches. 5 more weeks of healing to go.
