Menelvagor, does the answer have anything to do with Mirkwood or the elves that dwell there?

I'll just guess of when Frodo put on the Ring at Amon Hen, Weathertop, and/or Sam putting on the Ring at Cirith Ungol. It also might be Sam and Frodo meeting Faramir or something.

The watchers that Sam had to get by to get to the tower to find Frodo? Has that been guessed already? I'm sure it has, but I'm too lazy to check!

No one has guessed mine in my two-day absence. *cackle cackle* Think about "unwanted crying"

Elf Girl's:
Unwanted crying,
passed between,
at first one's dying,
Comes a stream.

Eowyn! Eowyn! Um, something to do with Dernhelm perhaps?

Let's review... the gate is not necessarily to a fortress, green is symbolic, and you won't let me use the ambush at Barad dur. The only other thing is the Watchers, or when Sam had the ring. Or in the last chapters with the Shire or something.

What do you think of when you think of the color green? The 'blackest of green would be the evil part of whatever is green.

Wow, I think this is the longest a riddle of mine has lasted!

Thank U. k, Ican't type, but hear goes:

weatherbeaten and worn,
a fire in the eyes,
treated sometimes with scorn,

Well, green could symbolize the elves... and they've definetely gota dark side: Orcs...
I still have no idea what the answer is but that might help...
