My falsetto range is bigger too!!!! Six weeks ago my top note was an F#5 in falsetto, and it had been there for about two years. Then two weeks ago I started being able to hit a G5, and tonight I hit a G#5

.

Mah range... it be EXPANDIN'!!!!!

I have to sing three arias today for the entire voice department--students and teachers.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!! O.o

I'm so nervous and excited. It's going to be on the big stage, which I've never sung on before, but which has amazing accoustics.

I'm just a little nervous because I'm going right after this girl who is -very- good. Just means a need to turn it up a little notch extra, I guess

Yay, I got home early today, invited my grandmother over for tea and chatted with her and my familymembers when they came back home from their various errands, just like old times. It was nostalgic, very comforting and generally nice.

Also, tomorrow is my sister's birthday, so we're getting all fired up!

How is your sister?

I'm happy today because I got to play with makeup. A lot.

I had some trouble with the eyeliner, but then I'd never used it before. Everything else I already had a vague idea of how to do.

I did myself all up, and the teacher only had one minor critique for me. YAY!!!

I had just forgotten to bring my lip stuff, so I tried to improvise with rouge, but it didn't work quite right with the shade I had. Other than that she said I was 100% ready to go out on stage

I -really- enjoyed playing around with the makeup

. I may have to look into getting some more training with the stuff... It was fun! I think the most I'd ever do to myself outside of stage-work is just a little concealer and my usual lipbalm, but I was seriously itching to take over for some of the other students who were confused by the makeup. I really wish I could've done someone else's makeup too.

I guess that's pretty gay.

But it really was fun

. I think I'm going to ask the teacher if she'd be willing to show me some other stuff during office hours or something. I wouldn't mind doing some backstage makeup work.

I wonder if my voice teacher would let me sing it if I set the translation to the actual sheet music. Even if not, it'd be worth learning over the Christmas break
