I didn't know that they had a MONK book series. For me, it would probably not work as while I love the show, the time to read a book on him would drive me nuts....it's a short drive.
I cannot see how he functions in the real world and an hr. show is my tolerance level. Taped the premier of MONK and will watch next week; too many things going on now. Psych, just looked too damned dumb from the previews. They are def. trying to cash in on "MONK" and "The Dead Zone" popularity.

Try a search for it, it's a show about a detective no longer on the police force, who has 1000 things he's afraid of and yet has a mind sharper than or equal to Holmes in deduction power. It's on the USA network on Fridays at 9pm (new) and at other days and times for re-runs.

Nah, no offense taken. Many here thought the same of: Benny Hill, The Two Roonies; Monty Python; Waiting for God; Keeping Up Appearances; Are you Being Served; My Hero; etc. etc. etc.

I've seen that 'my hero' show! If we're thinking of the same one, the one I'm thinking of is an english comady about a superhero and his imidete family.

hullo Pip! ah, and jammi, i'm a huge fan of all things nosferatu, and i've been known to read up on some black arts in the past. creatures of the night and practices of the occult have always interested me. as fiction, of course. i do think some form of vampire existed, and i believe in demons, but i'm not in the backyard with a pentacle summoning Mephistopheles, the swift-flying spirit, if that's what you're thinking!

I remember one instance in particular, when the Latin was "Ille est lux noster", and they translated it "he/she/it is our light". Come ON! These words are not gender-neutral in Latin; Ille is masculine; Illa is feminine; Illud is neuter! Where the hell do they get he/she/it from a masculine pronoun?
EDIT: By the way, this is an official statement that I cannot condone such literature. The Malleus Malleficarum, on the other hand...
