Plus, here in the Netherlands I really don't NEED to get a license. But if I get the opportunity to work abroad... *sigh*
I guess I'll wait till push comes to shove. ^_^

That aside, how are you?

Glad to hear I'm not the only with jitters about getting that driving license. But I really should start planning MY driving lessons. I keep saying for the last two years or so, I'm going to get it and somehow I always find something to interfere.

I'm fine, thanks! Back to work - has been for about a week now. Lots of work to do, as I'm entering our organization's members into our database, and we got more than two hundred new members over the summer.
Happy work, though - more fun than removing members because they haven't paid their membership fees.

Oh, that sounds nice. 200 members is a lot. What kind of organization is it?

Earn, not to mention how expensive it is >_<

The more you turn driving a car into some mythic skill where people are constantly getting into car crashes or having horrible accidents, the harder it is to drive .

It's scary the first few times, but once you've driven several times you start to realize that it's actually not that scary at all.

Indeed, when I was first learning how to drive, I was absolutely terrified. For my first driving lesson, my instructor drove us to an empty parking lot, where I could simply practice driving the car in circles. This was the first time I had ever driven a car. I was so scared, I refused to touch the accelerator. I just coasted the car around on the power of the engine turning over, so, about 2 km/h.

Now that I have some experience, I love driving. Especially on small highways.

Yes, yes, so people, myself included, keep telling me.

I'll get there. Just... not yet.

What's really scary is TEACHING someone to drive!

You keep thinking, "do they see that truck coming? do they see it?!?!"

It's a pro-life organization. Its website is here - it's in Norwegian, so you'll just have to see how much of it you might understand ...

I could gather quite a lot of it. Understanding the written language is often so much more easy than the spoken one
Thank you!
You should've joined the abortus discussion then

Bad news: I was writing someone a letter and I wanted to pretty it up by adding a few stickers, but I seem to have lost my precious stickers! *cries*

I thought perhaps you might. I can usually gather quite a bit of written Dutch. To me it looks like something half-way between English and Norwegian

Hehe, and I use German and Old-English to understand Norwegian. And the fact that my grandparents spoke dialect helps as well. ^_^
