Might I vent?
I'm going to complain here about today. My obnoxious little brother smeared spit all over my face while I was trying to email and kept shutting down the computer and then I got in trouble. grr... I got in trouble for asking my mom to talk to him and tell him not to do that...
urgh. Ok I'm done now.

I moderate on another forum, which is for singers. It's an okay forum, and I try to help out with advice when I can.
The owner is getting a degree in operatic singing at some conservatory or other. He's a huge ass. He's not around too often, but when he is, he -always- starts some kind of trouble with his arrogant attitude. Well this time he decided to bash one of the world's top Rock Vocal teachers. But it wasn't enough to say that the teacher had 'bad technique', was it? No, he then went and sent clips of the teacher's demo video to -his- teacher, and then posted their correspondence on the public board. Guess who got tipped off, and showed up majorly pissed off? That's right, the Rock teacher. So then it basically turned into a Rock vs. Classical free-for-all. I finally locked that thread, but I have a bad feeling the owner is just going to reopen it. |

Nope! Youngest child.
My main concern stems from the fact that I heard from another forum I post on that the Rock teacher was talking to his attorneys . I SERIOUSLY doubt that anything can, or will, come of it, but much as I dislike the owner, he's just a kid. (Okay, older than me, but only by three or four years ) I would hate to see a much older, more experienced person (who, you know, has money) go after the owner. I'm also annoyed because it's the first thread I've ever had to close on that forum in two years of moderating. Silly, I know, but still... |

I am using the venting thread for a mild complaint: I'm tired. I could fall asleep in a trice were it not for the fact that I've three hours of work left to do. Oh, dear. I just want to go to sleep!!

I wanna sleep to. I've had strep all week and, while it's getting better, it's also taking it's time about it.

A week ago some insect thought I was a walking all-you-can-eat buffet and payed in a good three dozen bites. And the itch, oh god no, the itch! I hope that insect dies the most painful and longest death! It's been a week and I've nearly scratched off my skin. Coupled with the fact that for me sun equals sunburn (another itch! Oh joy!) and those blasted birches are throwing their pollen around, I am now one sniffly, itchy, red, very bad-tempered woman. Raaaar! Kill! Kill! Someone's gonna pay!

Thanks, Tess, it's much appreciated. I've got myself a good aftersun, so the sunburn's been dealt with. Leaves just the allergy and the bites, about which I think the musquitos left me a few 'tips' last night too. Drat them.

I'm so sick of the British media, I'm fantasising about press censorship. It may be time to emigrate.

ugh, Earniel, that's a lot of bug bites!!! You know a weird thing that someone told me, but somehow helps a little - you take your fingernail and make an "X" on the bite instead of scratching it. Sounds weird, but try it!
Sunny, I think the only place you'll be free from obnoxious press is heaven!
