You sure had to wait long enough for him.

You do realise of course that we demand pictures?

I'm sure that's true. I think everyone respects a world with reasonable limits. They're lucky to have someone who can set those.
"Reasonable limits" around weapons (like a bow and arrow, or our guns) are fairly tight, but they should be. But around our house, it's basically things like "you eat in the kitchen area or outside, not all over the house with anything you want to eat whenever you want to grab it" and "if you want it, then wait for your turn, don't just grab it away and run". And it's sad to see them - at their house, they're constantly kinda tense and nervous, like they know a sibling can waylay them at any time and they probably can't do anything about it, because the stronger ones get the weaker ones. But over here, they just relax and have fun. Kids really DO need some loving and reasonable boundaries.

There will be pictures. Just waiting on him to settle in a little bit before breaking out the camera. He's sitting next to my laptop looking all like he's gonna pounce on the keyboard at any moment.

That goes for a big collective "awww"

So, does he like you yet?

He's sound asleep in the crook of my arm right now, so I'd say yes.

Your cat sounds really cute. I love cats, they're so fun to watch.

Anyway, I'm really happy because I finally get to learn a language that I've always been interested in learning: Arabic!

I know that's wierd (at least to some it would be) because of all the stuff going on in the world right now, but I really dont care. I just think that it is a cool language. A guy I met on my trip to the coast is going to teach me, and I have my first lesson on Teusday. Yay!

Here's about the extent of my knowledge right now: Haadha l-makaan raa'i'

It means "This is a wonderful place." So it's fitting

Arabic is cool! I want to learn Arabic! I had some friends from Marocco in elementary school, but I forgot most of the things they taught me allready. Besides, most words they taught me were swearwords anyhow.

My happy things of the day:
- I could sleep late
- I actually could sleep
- the sun is shining and it looks very autumny, with mushrooms and colored leafs and everything
- if I'm lucky, I'll finally have internet from next week.
Yay!

I was wondering where you had gone to, GW.

You haven't been able to get in here since May? Yikes.

I always feel strange coming back to the city after being in the forest for a week or so.. I really feel like I don't belong here.

The good thing is, I study biology and next to the department, there are lots of cows. So after work, I went to take a few photos of them - and you can't be in a bad mood after that.

Even while thinking of the damage they are doing to the environment by simply living?

Yes, even while thinking what damage we are doing to the environment by keeping them and breeding them.

Well you have two options, as I see it: shoot them with your camera, or with a gun

I've moved the discussions of languages here, to the existing Official Language thread.

This mod would like to add that she will be most happy if her hints to move a conversation aren't ignored. Thank you and you may continue your being happy here.
