Ya knoooow.... some day, when I have my own place, I am going to find a way to get myself a recliner. A big, sturdy recliner. My parents have two, but they're dinky little things that you have to kind of 'balance' on because they're more like regular chairs.

I want one of the big ones that you can lay completely flat on. ^_^ That's what I want.

Thanks Aika! *hugs back* Well, I must say I'm glad to have my own pillow again. And I do enjoy sleeping with a selection of my plushies (too many to have them all in bed at the same time though). I'm just going to take it slow for another day to get used again and then I'll start thinking of school and stuff.

Welcome back! Good to see many old faces around here, but not literally old, just familiar. Of course, old faces to me doesn't say much as I've only been here for a year or so!

Today was a so-so day. Not really anything out of the ordinary ... getting used to things is more or less all it involves, even if the things you're getting used to aren't the best things. Mmm ... definitely not a day out of the ordinary as this year goes. Hmmph. I don't recommend this state of mind! LOL!! At least the weekend and earliest parts of the week were nice. Now it's about a bit of the same as 2009 goes. The only way some days are different is that the longer you go, the more you get used to it, the more you realize that there is no purpose in the big scheme of things. Next thing to face: winter. Around here, it seems to draw forth earlier and earlier, and finish itself off later and later. Winter is definitely one of those things I can't get used to! Too dark, too boring boring boring! And the weather this summer has only been rain rain rain so that means more boring boring boring days! Oy vey! Oh well. There's still a little bit of summer left to steal away from it all if the weather can hold without too much rain. And that means as blah as this day was, there's either many more days that are the same, or many better days ahead. Either way, I know what to expect for the most part.

So.. I think maybe my hair would hold curl better if I curled it cold*. I don't know if this has any scientific basis. Thoughts?

*by "cold" I mean wet, using a cold curling iron (not plugged in) and a hair dryer set to blow cold air. Normally I use a hot setting on the blow dryer and of course, curl my hair with a turned-on curling iron, which is then hot, which I often am reminded of. Once again, thoughts?

I think you should try it, I'm not sure if it will be as effective as using a hot curling iron with your hair dry, but atleast it won't burn your hair. As long as it's not a hot curling iron with your wet hair - cause as I've read it's terrible for your hair.
(I think I said "hair' about a hundred times just then...)
