I'm sorry, Link, my life intervened. I didn't mean to abandon you.

Solitaire is fun...and energy conserving and low tech.

I love archery. HOWever, in many locations, they are not interchangable activities.

For example, I seldom look around my livingroom and say, "Hey, why don't y'all break out a book, or play solitaire, OR do archery."

I think yoga could be a good alternative to solitaire. Actually, I don't really have space in my apartment, so it's kind a problem, but still. It's relaxing, you don't have to think about anything, AND it actually has some benefits. It's kind of difficult, I mean, it requires some effort, but you'll feel better if you do it. There's lots of easy poses too, and there's a sort of yoga where you stay in one pose for quite a long period. Harder and easier.

That's why I go to the park.

Or the back yard, but it's a mess right now.

What is this category "Leftover Halloween candy"?

The wording seems to imply that at some point there could be "more candy than one needs", which is, of course, absurd.

More candy than one can comfortable consume

Yeah - we had an Olympic champion come out of there, too! Justin Huish - who, um, later got into a little trouble about some marijuana ...

But what a cool shot he was! Really amazing! Two 10's and a 9 in the last round to clinch the gold.

When not at the range, he would practice in an unusual way:

Quote:
His convoluted shooting range at his suburban Simi Valley home spans 50 meters - about 160 feet - at its longest, well short of the maximum 90 meters used in the Games. When he shoots, the arrow has to travel across the street, up his driveway, into the garage, out the door, across the backyard, and onto a hill - where the target is.

``I make sure nothing's blocking my line of vision,'' said 21-year-old Huish, one of the three men on the U.S. team. ``Besides, the neighbors know what I'm doing.''
I wonder if he ever had any close calls with fast-moving cycists?

Do you do archery at all, katya?
