So, two interesting developments happened at choir the other night:

1. We have a new member, as a temporary, just till she goes back to school next semester. And continues her music degree. Her -vocal- music degree. It's a soprano, although she's filling in as an alto for now, and she's got quite a large voice, although she holds it back. We had a great time talking music for a while after practice.

2. One of the newish members that I hadn't really met before introduced herself formally to me, and we talked for a while. She's got to be mid-40's, and I'd heard from some of the sopranos that she's a bit of a 'hard-core' when it comes to the choir and is demanding and prissy.

Well, apparently she got into the Oberlin Conservatory Young Artist program when she was young, then went to college for a business major. o.O Not wonder she's hardcore, and (from what I hear) has a beautiful voice (although, like mine, not naturally very large).

Ahh, developments, developments....
