I've only had two migraines without aurus. This time, and the first time which involved getting out of bed at 2am to lie on a couch in front of the TV until dawn, shaking so hard I thought I was going to dislocate my jaw. My sympathies go out to those who suffer these weekly.

That kind of thing would make me utterly psychotic, truly dangerously insane. Don't they have good, strong supermega pain-killing drugs for migraines? Does morphine work, or Percodan, stuff like that?

I didn't actually take anything for that specific time. I couldn't really get up to walk to the medicine cabinet. Although for my recent one, the doc has prescribed some good stuff that works with about 80% effectiveness, but it takes about 45-60 minutes to kick in. It seems to have blown over now, but if not, I'll be in for blood tests. Silly migraines.

Minor vent...

I've just fed our cats - now my hands smell of cat food. Ugh.

Really, when I'm cutting meat preparing lunch, that doesn't leave such smell. What on earth they put into cat food??

LET'S WATCH THE INUENDO'S AND DOUBLE-ENTERDRE TALK. IT IS NOT PERMITTED ON THIS BOARD.

We've remodled the place and have trained people who can issue Valium and other meds as necessary.

Feel better.

Vicodan is my drug of choice - relieves the pain and you get a bit of a buzz, too!
(or maybe the buzz is just from being pain-free, which is rare)
*takes 2 virtual Vicodans, and a Chai for good measure*

I'd love to take 2 right now - am scampering around like crazy getting ready to have my son's volleyball team over for dinner after the game, and am having pain It will be fun to have them over, though Well worth the effort! They just raise the roof but they're well-mannered, too, and it's really fun to watch them.

Is it a...normal, regular occurrence to have these migraines? Why is that? I don't understand how a headache can make you shake or throw up.

Ugh. Ugh. Ugh.
Murder is bad right? Remind me again why it is against the law to murder work colleagues?

Vent: The slightest breeze makes my hair stick up in certain places, and I mean just the breeze created by me walking on a windless day. Gets real annoying.

Murder is bad but they need to bring back public humiliation.

TB, my hair has a mind of it's own so don't feel bad about the wind. Some days it just wants to be unruly and not go where I want it to.

Vent: theres no public humiliation

TB, I'd recommend something girly like the GHD Hair Straightener, but I'm sure you want people to think that you're not a skirt-wearin' igloo-huggin' dog-humpin' weirdo.

Believe me, it was take FAR too long to explain, but suffice to say, I am reviewing my work options and sending out my CV it's that bad.

<edit> bugger public humiliation, I want them to bring back public flogging and I wanna be the one that gets to smack the silly 'ho.

Okay...
Why would I wear that? I'm not a girl, and I don't know what that is. If it makes my hair spikey, God forbid I ever have to wear it.
