Nifty about your 'serve' at the volleyball dinner, well spiked.

heehee! Yeah, both my son and I served well

(But I did NOT "spike" the punch, contrary to some rumors being "passed" around!)

Sideout!

You know what? If there's a wrestling team at his school, chances are that if the team recently participated in a tournament, they might have actually gone to MY school? Wierd. Might have met some representatives of your son's school's wrestling team. Which has nothing at all to do with your son in particular...

no, no wrestling team yet, but they'll probably start one up next year.

I've just finalized plans to go to Cedar Point in May. I'm so excited I can't get this smile off my face. For those that don't know Cedar Point is a theme park here in Ohio, and the best one in all the lands, IMO. I didn't have time to go and find a link but as soon as I do I'll post here so all can see the fun I'm going to have. Well, I must go for now it's a beautiful day out and we are going to ride our ATV around for awhile. (Not the kind that sissy Mouth from the Lyrds rides ) <--theres that smile I can't get rid of.

I found an un-opened can of Carlsberg beer in the snow when I was talking a walk (who's silly enough to leave a perfectly good beer unguarded like that?). I brought it home and enjoyed it in front of the telly

Happy: I finally got my very own scientific calculator! No longer having to do twenty-digit problems on paper because my old calculator didn't have enough digits! And maybe I'll be buying a graphing calculator within the year, a relatively cheap one, mind you.

Ah, yes, I was fortunate to go there many moons ago and recently saw it featured on the Travel Channel. Have a great time.

Yeah I haven't been on in a while, and I probably have an excuse but it doesn't matter. I just had the best weekend ever.
16- my 18th birthday, half-day of school
17- princial gives us the day off "just because," I swear to God. Adjust my new bike to perfection. Get a big, fat, acceptance letter from Marist College, the one that I really hoped for, plus an offer for a partial scholarship of $4000 a year which was laughably unexpected. I had gotten the application in only 1 day before the deadline, and figured I had a 50/50 shot at getting in there at all. HA! Then a big St. Patty's Day feast at my cousins' house.
18- I sold a bunch of bikes to a bunch of easy customers and earned a bunch of commission, then went out to a belated brithday dinner, then a sorority party, got trashed, learned the rules of beer pong, found out one of the other partiers was my older brother's unofficial roomate, stuff like that.
19- got home, nobody realized I was still half-drunk, recoved, miraculously minimal hangover, little cousins' birthday party (with a moonwalk), entmoot, homework.

I don't know what else to say. Hot damn! I almost wanna rub it in some sad-looking person's face because I haven't been this happy in way too many years. It's not even fair how cool my weekend was. Tomorrow I'm buying a lottery ticket for the first time just in the name of vanity

Definitely buy that lottery ticket before the weekend's over. I mean, I would if I were you. Because that's like one of those rare, perfect, the-stars-and-planets-are-in-alignment kind of weekends you've just described, and those don't happen too often or to too many people. Congratulazioni on your college acceptance & scholarship! And buon compleanno, too. I've missed you around here lately, Bombadillo.
