I have a friend whose family in Småland had sent him pictures of how different everything looked like in the area after the storm. There were like big trees hanging in the tops of even bigger trees and it just looked crazy.

Wow! I had a great time! This was WONDERFUL! I will NEVER turn it down unless completely necessary. Over the last two days, I:
-Ended up getting there late because my Grandma kept stalling. -Ended up arguing with her the entire way there because she seemed to be upset about my very existence. -Ended up coming in during the middle of the Junior Volounteer meeting. -Played a pictogram game, and tied with one other group. I was called brilliant! -Walked around aimlessly for several minutes. -Re-trained my telescope drive by hiking up a mountain and using a bush on a hill of about the same elevation as me (with an unsuspecting roadrunner doing something around it, about half a mile away) to re-train it. -Walked back. -Read about Carbonaceous Chondrite in the library. -Helped set up the Starry Safari table. -Waited for families running late. -Packed EVERYONE's stuff onto a truck, and, upon reaching the campsight, pretty much dropped it on the ground. -Drove back and forth on the golf cart with one of the older FOLD volunteers, because the lady in charge, Christene, kept forgetting stuff we needed. We made about six trips total. -Ate some funny tasting pizza, a great tasting salad w/ Italian, and had some great cookies. -Went walking around the zoo in the middle of the night. I saw the Hyenas, the Ostrich, and the Leopards, and the Zebra, Fenton. Kept my lantern off most of the time... Got to post later, so I don't loose my missed posts.

What I did (continued):
-Went back to camp and set up my telescope in complete darkness. Just when I was about to use my GPS to find true North, it died, so I had to guess whether the only dipper visible was the big or little dipper, and I assumed the former, but the telescope didn't work the way I wanted anyway. I was able to view the Pleiades (Sp?), Orion's Belt (the Cub Scouts and Co., who made up the entire group, seemed particularly fascinated with this), and the moon, which I got to see shiloette famous Mt. San Jacinto as it set RIGHT OVER IT! -Woke up at 6:30. -Did all of that preparation in reverse order. -Had an anonymous pastry, some rasin bran, a terrible cup of blood red tea (No wonder! It was Tazo!), and a terrible tasting bear claw pastry, whatever that means. Then I finished off with another cup of tea that tasted much better. -Waited what seemed like HOURS for the two groups, who were doing the morning walk of the park, to arrive, and they were an hour behind. -Caught all of the people who had worked with me that night off guard by telling them that I intended to stay at TLD all day. They all left. The other junior's mother insisted that she take me home, but mysteriously knew my name and apparently where I lived...peculiar. I had to politely refuse. -Stood around twenty or so minutes figuring out what to do. -Spent an hour or so walking around aimlessly. -Signed in to the Petting Kraal. -Worked with two Juniors and one FOLD, a rather large group for a single station, but it was cool. -Talked to Carla, a colleague, about school, science, etc. Did you know eight graders can take trigonometry and physics? (*points fingers, as if busting someone for doing something right for a change* UTOPIA!) -Talked to my friend, the old lady who works in the gift shop, and ate lunch with her. -Talked to the docent about my rats. -Talked to a man about his camera, and about my camera, and about star trails. -Talked to Carla again. -Talked to Docent again. -Talked to Docent again. -Talked to one member of the group that I ran into again. -Ate lunch in the Meerkat with Carla. Had a one of their killer Ham and Cheese sandwhiches. -Talked with Carla for about twenty or so minutes after finishing, and then, after walking to education, she got me over my fear of Pretzels, and I am now addicted to them! Sort of... -Had another cup of tea, this time iced. -Read about Chaos theory in the TLD Library.

Sane is the lady, with the sword, and the bird. But you know that, you're just being funny so that'll have to whap you with the fish.

*baps TB with wine bottle* No, I'm the wine/maggie holding person in the green shirt. Though I could be classifed as her lap cat....but that is a different matter all together.... *raises toast* May JuJu the parakeet, my beloved friend, rest in peace.

And I'd like to thank those wonderful citizens who tagged up my house even more than I previously posted, and for breaking all the sprinklers and calling my dad a rat. I hope the power they feel out of torturing responsible citizens gowinds up getting them what they deserve.
