Well, the preparations for my debate are done. Now I only need to do it. Tomorrow is going to be exciting in a negative sense: the debate and I invited the couple I asked your advise on for a conversation.

I mulled your answers over and decided that instead of being a coward and whine about how I hate this situation and trying to avoid them till it solves itself for the sake of relative peace, I will have to make them understand that it is their business and that I feel both are right and wrong at some points, but that I can't do this anymore.
And if I can muster a lot of courage I will also tell them that it's not very nice to drag someone else into their fight and that they are behaving like children.
*is writing down all the things she wants to say to them before she forgets in the heat of the conversation...*

But for now: some good music and some very light reading. I will start working on my thesis again in 15 minutes...
Today is a pretty good day after all.

"How is the day for all of you?" she asks while the echoes of her story can still be heard in the Teacup...

A well-made lemon square is one of the crown jewels of the baking world.

A banal description would be "shortbread with lemon pudding on top" but that's like describing a rose as "red flower with points on the stem."

It's sublime.

'Pop, what are you talking about?' the son screams.

'We can't stand the sight of each other any longer and tired for the
front we have been playing for 2 children we hardly see,' the old man
says. 'We're sick of each other, and I'm sick of talking about this.
I'm emptying my bank account and moving in with my girlfriend. Call
your sister in Chicago and tell her.' and he hangs up.

Frantic, the son calls his sister, who explodes on the phone, 'Like
heck they're getting divorced and giving his money to a tramp,' she
shouts, 'I'll take care of this.' She calls her father immediately and
screams at the old man, 'You are NOT getting divorced and leaving for
some whore! Don't do a single thing until we get there. I'm calling my
brother back, and we'll both be there tomorrow. Until then, don't do a
thing, DO YOU HEAR ME?' and Hangs up.

The old man hangs up his phone and turns to his wife. 'Okay,' he says,
'They're coming for Passover and paying their own airfares.'

Thank you. I really need it. Today at work we were moving some gigantamous stuff out of the museum, and it HURT! My abbs, tris, biceps and joints are so sore. It's what I get for upping my weights and reps I guess.

I live near here. It's 30 minutes by bus, but I usually go to a beach more close by which is only 10 minutes by bus. I love watching the waves, especially when the waves are crashing on the beach and the winds are pounding at you *happy sigh*
