IMO, it was a poor imitation or attempt to recreate, Stand By Me. Danzen looked like Count Dracula...he needs to get a tan.

Have just seen Batman Begins. Fairly good. Neat special effects and stuff.

I began watching LOTR: FOTR again this morning having recorded it yesterday evening.

The ETERNALLY STARING eyes of Mr Wood. ("I'm so scared, I'm so scared, I'm so scared, I am so scaaaarrrreeed!!!) slightly annoying.

I just rewatched The Last of the Mohicans with Daniel Day-Lewis. Great movie!

(but I can't get the Far Side cartoon of that out of my head )

Anyone else here remember/like that movie?

I watched "The Lord of War" last weekend. Interesting from the detail part but otherwise not a very interesting movie and not one of Cage's better ones either.

In the past few days I've seen The Constant Gardener and Murderball. In my humble opinion, both we excellent.

The Constant Gardener is another brilliant film by director Fernando Meirelles. The acting was great, but it was the visuals of the movie that really struck me. Just like in City Of God, Meirelles puts true artistry into ever shot in the movie. Not only is it beautiful, but it adds a whole other layer of meaning to the movie. I could go on much longer, but since this thread isn't called "Review movies you've just seen", I'll stop there.

Murderball was an interesting and inspiring documentary about the sport of wheelchair rugby. It really makes you look at people in wheelchairs in an entirely different way, but at the same time, the movie is not depressing or downbeat.

"house of flying daggers" a pretty cool movie but I like "Hero" better.

the BBC hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, seriously funny, quite as good as the feature length one even with the corny alien costumes.

That's an excellent movie. Kudos to Matt Damon.

The Man in the Iron Mask

Fun movie....but such terrible acting (except for Jeremy Irons and Hugh Laurie...but I don't expect anything less from them ).

I finally watched Braveheart, after hearing so much about it. and really was a bit dissapointed, it was a good movie mind you, but from what I'd heard about it, it was supposed to be "groundbreaking" and "best movie ever" and all that and it didn't quite do all that for me. good movie just the same

the old Pink Panther, hilarious, but what a sad ending....
