LOL Baby-K I should kick you in the head with my furry foot. I have a cough and that story made me cough worse'n I have. Oh well.

This hobbit lass doesn't really like the color pink. That's the only problem, particularly. It's not a horrid pink though, but it's still pink. I prefer green.
I dont like pink meself, though I will wear it on a skirt if it doesn't show up TOO horridly. I would die to have a white dress like the one Eowyn has in TTT. Or maybe a green one with the same cut...with a white sash that ties by the side. I love those kinds of mideaveal dresses.
Cheers,
Sam

I still don't like skirts

i dont like skirts...thier too constricting (tight or short) and you can go anything in them cuz they ride up your arse and expose things

Apparently the new rage on my campus is pillow-case skirts. Girls go the local ValueVillage, buy a pillow-case with a funky pattern, seam-rip the top, hem, insert drawstring for the waist, and voila! Pillow-case skirt.

Ah, prom season, eh?

Here's a tip from a prom veteran: DON'T ditch your date just because he's afraid he can't dance. A stunning dress adds insult to injury.

IP sounds like you had a bad experience there. I always thought you guys had prom later in the year - I forget your shool calendar differs from ours (our Matric farewell dances are usually around September).

This would be relevant if I HAD a date...

Baby-K, prom season starts in about January/February, but our prom isn't until April 26. Most girls already have their dresses and their appointments. Since I had to order mine online, it won't even be shipped out until April 2nd!

I loved the title of this thread ...

*bump*

and I love skirts, too! My favorite is a soft, swingy black number that goes with anything.

I hope Starr's doing well - she was quite nice. IIRC, she posted her prom pics here!

*feels old*

Baby-K was fun but has been gone for ages, Earniel's still around (hooray!!!) and crick comes by on occasion.

SO - how do you feel about skirts, sis?

Skirts are ok........I guess, I've never really been a person to take very much notice of what someone is wearing *shrugs*.

Men should definitely not be allowed to wear skirts.

I've been to Edinburgh a few times and after you've seen one 200lb drunken scotsman lift his kilt in public....well, it's not really a performance that you wish to witness again
oh, i have male friends that occasionally wear skirts and i tell you: they look a lot better than i do in one! i think nothing should be prohibited just because a person happens to be a member of one sex or another (or a third). i've never been comfortable in skirts, so i don't wear them: those who are, should wear them weather or not they're female.

that's my opinion on skirts.

Ah, the old necropost. Good bump Ri.

Skirts are okay, but I hardly ever wear them.

I did once play a game of pick up rugby in a knee-length skirt though. That was pretty awesome. That skirt doesn't fit me any more though.

I have kilts. No really. I used to wear a skirt like thing when I was living with my japanese relatives. Its this tunic thing that is just a top, that folds over and belts, and then you wore a short-short sort of thing under that, over your undies.

Then unfortunatly I grew out of those tunics and have yet to go back and get some more. Then my friend Casey introduced me to utilikilts, since I always complained that regular fabric skirts never lasted. So he got me a utilikilt. I put it to the test and it works great, I can ride, run, jump (heh, not too high though, dont wanna flash) and be active. I just wear a short under it on blustery days.

In theory, I agree with you, not about skirts in particular, but about clothing in general; I don't believe in following societal mores on dress.

In practice, though, it just looks wierd when a guy wears a skirt! In a funny way, more often than not...but still, it doesn't seem normal. I just don't live up to most of my theories.
