Well, that really depends on where you get it. I hear that the fleshy areas hurt more than the firmer areas (which is why I got mine on my shoulder blade).

So how much does camp cost?

The rand/dollar exchange rate is extremely poor at the moment, I don't know exactly what it is right now, my guestimate would be around 11 to 1.

Therefore seeing as one MacDonald Cheeseburger costs R4.50, if a merkian had to come here it would cost him/her $0.41 more or less.

Similarly, a 340ml can of Coke costs about R3.00, thus $0.27.

See? If you went on camp here, you'd be in a five-star hotel...

It doesn't hurt, it's stingy, there is a difference. Besides, I usually enjoy the adrenaline rush, so I'm the last person you should ask.... *pinch* eeeeeee......

My sister has a tattoo on her hip. (despite numerous promesses she WOULD NOT use my design for a tattoo!) She says it doesn't hurt and that you just have to be carefull that there isn't bone directly under the skin where you want a tattoo. So the ankle is fine in my guess. That would have been my first choice too.

Well Elfmaster, it was an ourobouros, a snake that bites it's own tail. (like the one Scully had once in the X-files) She asked me to draw one for her because she claimed I was better at drawing (nonsense of course but I fell for the flattery) So I drew one for her. She took it with her yet the next week she came home (she studies in another city) she asked me to draw a smaller one. I rolled my eyes and said she should scan it, make it smaller in paint and print it herself. Then she said I was better with drawings on the computer. So after much whining from her I gave in and gave her a smaller print. The next week she came home she asked me to make it less detailed. I said I had to much work. She pleaded and pleaded and then I said I refused because she would use it as an tattoodesign just because Scully had one. She said she wasn't that shallow that she would NEVER use it as an tattoo because it would drive mum spare. I gave in again, made it less detailed and handed it over. She dissapeared again. Two weeks later she came home and asked me if I could keep a secret. I said you didn't dare to put a tattoo did you? She said you've read my mind.... Than she asked me to work on mum and dad. She claimed that if I (being the youngest) said I liked tattoos (which I do to a certain extent) they wouldn't be mad at her. She told it a month later herself on her birthday. Mum wasn't pleased can tell you that. She just accepted it as being well typically my sister.

Be sure you know your parents enough to know how they react to such a thing. Best not to take something too large. And don't tell them you learned all this stuff on the entmoot

Wow! Cool, another Egyptologist! I have actually studied it at varsity, and did Middle Egyptian hieroglyphs for 3 years. My tattoo is of a butterfly (long sentimental story behind that). But I've wanted to have the eye of horus, or the ankh done for a long time. I just can't quite decide where I would get it. Tongue doesn't hurt to get done, but you can't eat for a week, and it keeps swelling up, and your breath reeks! But apart from that.... My parents would have probably killed me (they did when I got my nose done, and made me take it out), but by the time I did those things, I was already out of home for quite a few years! Now she's just trying to nag me into marriage: Well it ain't happening!

Wow! I love Egypt and a lot of my friends think im a freeak! I'd hardly call myself an egyptologist though. I'm still on my A-levels...got a way to go before i can study just egypt. I've started reading a book about reading hieroglyphs and it's kinda hard to do that as well as my work...and moot. Now, let's get our priorities right!
