Ok, I have one for you lot now.
That Bombadil bug of yours has bitten me, Arathorn! Ok, this one,s to the tune of Blue Eyes, by Elton John. What did I say about being brought up on Elton John?! Ok, One Ring, Frodo's got One Ring, Take it to Mount Doom, On a black, black day, One Ring, Frodo's got One Ring, When ond Gollum comes, Scream and run away, Ans I say, One Ring attracting the Nine, Attracting the pain, Frodo's got no ring, And he is old, And he is old again. One Ring, Ooooh, One Ring, When it's gone away, Children laugh and play, And I say, One Ring has now gone away, Returns not again, Frodo's got no Ring, And he is old, And he's gone back to the Shire again. Whatever that bug is on, I want some! It's wearing off already! Try to be nice, it is my first go at this sort of stuff (well, LotR related anyway!)

I knew you had it in you Rosie-Lass
Go do another one for the class This one is about wishful thinking For lovers out there with lesser inkling The Entish Time (based on The Longest Time by Billy Joel) Hoo, Hoo, Hoom, Hroom For an entish time Hoo, Hoo, Hoom, Hroom For an entish time Did you say entwives were at your sight Oh which forest have they gone for flight What else can I do We have been roused by you That hasn't happened for an entish time Once I thought my Fimbrethil was gone Now I'll see entmaidens come anon And it does rouse me Think she'll stretch her branches for me I haven't dreamt that for an entish time Hoo, Hoo, Hoom, Hroom For an entish time Hoo, Hoo, Hoom, Hroom For an entish time I think I'll feel hasty most of all When I see that miracle come fall Is it indeed true? Did she say: 'Needed me too That hasn't happened for an entish time Maybe this is just a happy song But it feels oh so right And you could be wrong Maybe my bark has gone too hard But I've rustled by far And it's more than I've boomed for Who knows maybe gardens we'll grow on Maybe even entings when you're gone I'll take my chances I will rouse those treeish branches I haven't done that for an entish time I last saw entmaidens depart I said to myself It won't be so hard Now I know that they won't be far So beautiful they are And how long I have searched north I don't care which garden plain she clings I have stayed in Fangorn many springs I want her so bad I think she ought to know that I intend to follow for An entish time

I've just had a thought about another song I could do.
This is Sauron's Song, to the tune of Elton John's (sorry) The One. I saw it there on Frodo's finger, He was running fast along the sand, A hobbit born of earth and water, My red eye searched all lands, In the instant that I saw my ring, In the second that my red eye saw, I summoned all my faithful Nine, And I sent them to the shore, And all I ever needed was the One, In the Shire it was where wild hobbits run, When they collide, in Maggot's field, A fellowship was born, It's all I ever needed, The Ring that is the One There are paths that they will follow, Smoking pipe-weed in dark hotels, When Strider will see them and in silence, Will go on the quest with them as well, For I really do want to be King, Of all of Middle-earth unless, My Ring is destroyed in the fire, And I will finally fall, And all I ever needed was the One, In the Shire it was where wild hobbits run, When they collinde, in Maggot's field, A fellowship was born, It's all I ever needed, The Ring that is the One. I'm sorry to Strawberry, who has already had a rant at me for my Elton John fixation, but I like his music, and this song did just happen to be called The One! Spooky, huh?

Nice song, Rosie-lass. And same to you, Arathorn!
I just thought of two, but this time I really don't think anyone will know the songs they're from! The original songs are both Indigo Girls. . .if anyone knows their music well, well, I guess I'll just post them, for fun, whether or not you all know them Here goes: (They aren't very good, since I couldn't find something that made sense for some of the lines, but I was just having fun!) Frodo the Optimist from "It's Alright"--Indigo Girls It's alright many days of travel my feet worn out from the endless road it'd be nice to have a real rest and water, but it's alright And it's alright if you burn that way, burn me from your tower, burn my mind from your eye, You're really gonna be destroyed one day, so it's alright. I look at this One Ring, weighing me down, resting in my hand, I look at the burned out empty like a plague across this land And for every step I take there are two more weary ones to stand, That's why I'm still on quest through the Dark Land's mess, and I'm doing the best that I can, and it's alright And it's alright that Sam worries and fusses, can't get over the hill, Orcs can't get over us It seems easier to hide than to just trust our luck, but it's alright When we get a little closer, some things get murkier, Give us the space and our doom grows nearer I traveled as hard as I could and I ended here but it's alright I look at this One Ring, weighing me down, resting in my hand, I look at the fires of Orodruin burning what's left of this desolate land, I know I'm small, in a Hobbit's way, but I know I'm strong And it's my quest that brought me here to Mordor and when I give it all up, Sam, he carries me on, and it's alright Yeah it's alright And it's alright though I feel afraid my plans in pieces my ways mislaid It's the will of the way the will of the way the will of the only way that could have brought me here today and it's alright Hey Kind Sam from "Hey Kind Friend"--Indigo Girls Hey kind Sam Don't know when I'll see you again on an Elven ship bound for Valimar laying down to rest from the sickness Eärendil shining over the ocean you know everything now is different for me ain't no use in explaining what's ailing me Hey kind friend won't you help me forget where I've been Hey kind Sam, help me remember who I am too ill in late March So I've come here with elves and Gandalf Saw the sun die in the Grey Havens running down on the Sundering Sea So I ask you for some relief and it's one true root that you bring to me It's early evening it's good company Hey kind friend Help me forget where I've been Hey kind Sam help me remember who I am Hey kind friend I don't know when I'll see you again It's OK Sam So I'll meet you in Elvenhome, yeah I'll see you in the undying lands after the long, full life I'm telling you you'll have with Rosie back at Bag End Hey kind friend help me forget where I've been Hey kind Sam help me remember who I am Hey kind friend don't know when I'll see you again It's OK Sam I'm OK friend I just realized I wasn't finished with them! Oh well, I just added in some changes. . .

If you go to the "fellowship here" thread, in Middle Earth, you will see that there are quite a few people who think they are Legolas. . . Me included. Welcome to the moot!

That is suuuch a good idea, but it would be really hard to write, as there isn't much to write about on oliphaunts. But im sure that if you ask that guy that wrote about 6 pages on 'the wars of glorfindel' he could come up with something for you!

Hooray! Someone knew one of the songs! Thanks, Arathorn I could have done better with it, now that I think about it. Some of those lines were a bit wierd, they way I did them. . .hmmm. I was just thinking I could Tolkienate every (or almost every) song on that album! These are so fun! Do write more!

LADY GALADRIEL to the tune of Lady Marmalade (Moulin Rouge): [Frodo:] Where’s all mah soul hobbit Lemme hear ya’ll flow hobbit [Merry:] Hey Frodo, go Frodo, soul Frodo, flow Frodo Hey Frodo, go Frodo, soul Frodo, go Frodo [Merry:] He met Aragorn down the Prancing Pony Smoking his pipe in the dark he said, "Hello, Frodo, you wanna give it a go?" Oh! uh huh [Chorus:] Hobbit hobbit travelling so far (Hey hey hey) Hobbit, Hobbit, stay quite near (here) Lembas in a leaf ya ya (oh yea) Creole lady Galadriel [Gollum:] Rabbit, rabbit in a pot [Mery:] ooh yum Will you come with me to Mirkwood? ce soir Will you come with me to Gondor? [Pippin:] yea yea yea yea [Gandalf:] they sat in his room while the riders were there stuffing their blankets with wheat In is black, darkened room is where they started to freak yeah [Chorus:] Hobbit, Hobbit travelling so far, (da-da-da) Hobbit, Hobbit stay right here (here ohooh yea yeah) Lembas in a leaf ya ya (yea) Creole lady Galadriel Will you come with me to Isengard (ce soir, what what what) Will you come to Huckleberry? [Frodo:] yea yea uh Gimli come with the plaits and the old elven hags I let him know that I am curly and plaits are not my fate uh We independent hobbits, some mistake us for kids I'm sayin‘, if you don’t like us then you can shut your lids, Disagree? Well that's Boromir and he gonna get hurt Oh look! It’s those orcs! And Borrie hits the dirt! We don’t wear shoes and we just love food, We’re Shire Hobbits in the Prancing Pony, hey hobbits, soul hobbits, betta get that ring hobbits We smoke weed with diamonds in the pipe We can’t blow ships but Gandalf was over ripe, if you wanna Hitchie Hikey, ya ya Eat some Lembas-a what? Real Lady Galadriel One more time C’mon now Galadriel... Lady Galadriel... Galadriel... [Frodo:] hey Hey Hey! Touch of that ring feeling dark ‘n’ smooth color of gold in the night alright Made the savage Gollum roar until he cried, More-more-more [Pippin:] Now he's back in ‘is cave playin’ with a knife [Merry:] Guttin’ fish is now his boring life [Christina:] But when he turns off to sleep memories creep, More-more-more [Chorus:] Gollum, Gollum, ya ya dada (da daeaea yea) Gollum, Gollum, ya ya here (ooh) Fish in yukky water ya ya (yea) Creole lady Galadriel Will you come with me to Rivendell? (ce soir) Will you come with me to Bree? (all my sistas yea) Will you come with me to Fangorn? (ce soir) Will you come with me to Mordor? (C‘Mon! uh) [Gandalf:] Aragorn...(oh Leaeaa Oh) Sam... (Lady Galadriel) Frodo...(hey Hey! uh uh uh uh...) Merry...(Oh Oh oooo) Pippin...(baby) Prancing Pony... (0h) Gandalf the Grey here... Creole Lady Galadriel Yes-ah......

Hobbits and elves struttin their thang comes to mind. LOL
I Was short on time in my searchin' So I just did a stab on Imagine. (by John Lennon) Imagining Hobbits (by Arathorn) Imagine there are hobbits It's easy if you try With feet so furry Puffing rings as night goes by Imagine there are people Living in your yard.... Imagine there are elf folk As fair as morning dew With wisdom of years we long for 'Knew our grandparents too Imagine there are people Living in the woods... You may say I read too much But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will be ruled by the One Imagine there are ents here Who herd trees when they can Who are themselves quite treeish Except when roused by man Imagine all the entings Sprouting here and there... You may say I love Tolkien But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will be ruled by the One
