Almost Church-time! Yay! I'm so looking forward to it. Now I finally get to sing Christmas songs without people asking if I can't sing something more... in-season

Plus there is a great atmosphere there

Happy because I just had an amazing trip to Israel. Sad because I'm now back and won't see many of the amazing people I travelled with.

Tomorrow I'm off to St Anton, Austria for an eagerly awaited skiing holiday.

I would love to go to Israel. I have a lot of friends there...and seeing the Masada exhibit changed my view of reality. I've always wanted to go.

I'm happy because it GREATLY amuses me when my dog gets so excited that she starts running around the room and tries to go so fast that she kicks her backlegs forward and basically ends up running like a rabbit: It looks hilarious because her butt stays really close to the floor, and it looks like she's literally hauling... fanny

Masada was amazing. Hiking up and down is unreal. Got to see the sunrise from the top.

I am happy and somewhat bemused that my ability to sight read piano music has improved, while my ability to actually hit the key I'm aiming for has decreased. Also my increased reading ability only seems to apply to things that are super difficult--the easy stuff is throwing me for a loop.

I need to start practicing again.
