Took the tree down - the cat was just NOT staying out of it; it kept crashing down onto the floor, so we never even got a chance to put decorations on it. The cat ruined xmas.

I could ask Aeran to teach your cat to stay out of the tree? Big kittiecat to not so big kittiecat?
Too bad though, but I guess a new tree is interesting to the cat who thinks she's gotten a new scratchpole... Ours is finished. It is smaller then usual and I couldn't put all the decorations in, but now it's simply cute. I'm glad I'm not my sister though: she told my mother this morning that she has to work on the 25th. My mom didn't take it too well...

Ah oh! Thats so sad... We are getting a tree hopefully tomorrow morning. We have to go cut one down, so I want it to be a small one. I hope my two kittens dont topple it over! (Although I have a feeling it will happen a LOT) What a waste of a good tree Bop, Im so sorry.

That sounds nice. Pastries make good presents, right? And gingerbread is very Christmas-ish. Thanks for the idea, I might bake some saffron buns and give away. I love those and always eat them at Christmas (so odds are I eat all of them myself if I bake any).

So... and interesting thought--naming your tree. But seeing as we have this whole ent-thing going on, I suppose it is not surprising. What did you name it? *puts on the little voice from Frosty the Snowman* "How about.... Oatmeal!" I've just about got all my shopping done. There's one or two items I can't seem to find anywhere, not even in the stores that are supposed to carry this kind of thing. (Major frustration.) And I haven't wrapped anything yet. I'll probably get to that tonight after work. But then I have this Christmas music video I'm making of our family decorating the tree, and that has to be done before Christmas Eve, so I might not have time for wrapping after all just now.

Haha! I'm glad I don't have to buy Christmas presents Sounds like it's a lot of trouble.
Two years ago I bought a wee tree of 15 cm or so and I named him Stewart. The decorations still don't fit, so I'll have to wait another 2 or 3 years or so... This one is a lot bigger, so I called her Bertha. I like naming things. All my fluffs have names and so do my plants. I'm sure it makes them feel better. And if Toy Story would be true and they CAN come to life and turn out to homocidal maniacs, at least I'm safe, 'cause I loved them enough to give them a name... Does that logic make sense?

It would make more sense if all homicides were nameless.
