My other favs are: At the entmoot part, where merry goes: There won't be a Shire, Pippin. Faramir's speech to Denethor in the RotK EE 'Boromir ould have brought me a KINGLY gift" Saruman in the FotR: Smoke Rises from the Mountain of Doom! The hour grows late, and YOU stride to Isenguard, seeking my council. Is that not why you have come? My old friend. Also Saruman: We must JOIN him Gandalf, we must JOIN Sauron. Gandalf: Very WELL. Since when has Saruman the white abandoned TREASON FOR MADNESS?! AND FINALLY: Saruman in the TT: "The forests will fall" part where it shows the Uruk-Ai army's weapons being made. (It might have been in the FotR, i'm not sure!"

I have a bunch of fave quotes. Forgive me if they have been said already
FotR Frodo: You're late. Gandalf: A wizard is never late. Nor is he early. He arrives presicly when he means to Gandalf: Keep it secret. Keep it safe. Arwen: If you want him, come and claim him. Aragorn: You shall have my sword. Legolas: You shall have my bow. Gimli: And my axe Pippen: So where are we going? Gandalf: Fool of a Took! Throw yourself in next time and rid us of your stupidty! Gimli: Never toss a Dwarf! Gandalf: Fly, you fools! Broamir: I would have followed you, my brother, my captain, my king TTT Aragorn: The leaves of Loren do not idlely fall. Theoden: No parent should have to bury their child. Aragorn: What do you fear? Eowyn: A cage. Theoden:Let them come! Gimli: You'll have to toss me. Aragorn: Oh? Gimli: Don't tell the Elf. Smegol: I'm not listening! I'm not listening! Smegol: Go away and never come back. Gollum:What did you say? Seegol: Go away and never come back. The scene with Sam and Frodo at the end of the TTT RotK Theoden's speech at Pelnor Fields Gimli: May the best Dwarf win! Gimli: That still only counts as one! Witchking: Do not stand between a Nazul and his prey. Witchking: No man can kill me! Eowyn: I am no man! Aragorn's speech at the Blck Gates Aragorn: For Frodo! Eowyn: The sun has lost its warmth. (EE) Framir: It is just the cold before the spring rains. I do not believe this Darkness will last (EE) Gandalf: Not all tears are evil. Thats all i can think of right now

It's impossible to choose just one, but here are a couple I haven't seen yet.
Elrond: This peril belongs to all Middle-Earth. They must decide now how to end it. The time of the Elves is over. My people are leaving these shores. Who will you look to when we've gone? The Dwarves? They hide in their mountains seeking riches. They care nothing for the troubles of others. Gandalf: It is in Men that we must place our hope. Elrond? Men? Men are weak. The race of Men is failing. The blood of Numenor is all but spent. Its pride and dignity forgotten. It is because of Men the Ring survives. I was there, Gandalf. I was there three thousand years ago.. and Isildur took the Ring. I was there the day the strength of Men failed. It should have ended that day, but evil was allowed to endure. Isildur kept the Ring. The line of kings is broken. There's no strength left in the world of Men. They're scattered, divided, leaderless. Gandalf: There is one who could unite them. One who could reclaim the throne of Gondor. Elrond: He turned from that path a long time ago. He has chosen exile. Also ... Elrond: You need more men. Aragorn: There are none. Elrond: There are those who dwell in the mountain. Aragorn: Murderers. Traitors. You would call upon them to fight? They believe in nothing! They answer to no one! Elrond: They will answer to the King of Gondor! Love that scene. |

Pippin: "Is there any hope, for Sam and Frodo, I mean?"
Gandalf: "There never was much hope; only a fool's hope." I just thought that was an interesting line.

my favorite line is ia acually a part. its when grima and saruman are talking about the weekness of Helms Deep:
grima:Even if it is breached it would take a number beyond reckoning... thousands, to storm the king saruman: tens of thousands grima: but, my lord, there is no such force and they step out on the balcony and he sees all the urh-hai are ready and a tear falls from his eye

I don't know if I ever posted this one but I really like this one from the TTT book:
"There are some things that it is better to begin than to refuse, even though the end may be dark".

Do not meddle in the affairs of Wizards for they are subtle and quick to anger.

Bilbo: "I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."
