Varda for the stars, Este for the care, and Ulmo for the water.

I like Varda, because she created the stars my beloved elves are named after and Yavanna Kementari, because she created the Two Trees. And I like Melkor, because he seems to be quite independant and I like independant characters. Oops, I almost forgot Vaire, the weaver of memories.

See how important Vaire is, Radagast? She may not be as important as, say, Varda, on first glance, but if you think about it, Vaire is just as important. ![]() ~Maka |

I think although I don't like evil all that much, I would have to say Melkor.

Makmu, I didn't say Vaire wasn't important. but I didn't say she did nothing special... and I still think so. "special" mean something that not ordinary, something that she doesn't do everyday.
By the way, there is another Melkor fan here. ![]() |

Um, for all you Melkor fans out there, you do realize that he was cast from the order of the Valar and was no longer counted among them, don't you?

But he was still a Vala, when they entered Arda, right? Would make sense to me, because without him the four elements are not complete: Manwe (Air), Aule (earth) and Ulmo (water). So he was a Vala once and the question doesn't say that we are not talking about those Ainur, who originally were the Valar at the beginning of Ea.

![]() I'm a bit partial to Yavanna myself. I, too, love trees.

Varda, Yavanna and Ulmo. I love the stars, growing things and the sea.

My favorites of the valar would have to be Nienna, Namos, and Irmo. Then after those three, Ulmo and Vaire. I don't know why they just appeal to me more than the others.

I like Vaire because she's a mysterious Vala. Not much is said about her, except she weaves. Weaving a tapestry, if you don't know, takes a long time. Now, if she made tapestries to clothe the halls of Mandos which are ever growing... that's a lot of coffee.

As you can see, I don't hang out here muchly anymore. There's a good reason for this. Y'see, I've been hanging out at a different chatboard called Cardboardia. So far, I've been havin' a blast. Not that I don't love the TLA, but the magic of Entmoot is lost on me. So, as soon as TLA ends, so will my existance here, probably. Who knows though? I might stay. Highly unlikely however. This is a good bye in advance, then. Unless you want to join me and my group of friends at Cardboardia. Cheers! |

Melkor was a vala in the creating of Arda but when he did evil things the valar depose him from his old status.

![]() Námo wins, just a little infront of Manwë, because:
1. Námo seems wise and powerfukl in his actions. 2. Námo is not evil, yet not good either.... 3. Námo is the doomsman of the valar, and the harbringer of fate ! 4. Námo has his spouse Vairë, who is supposed to be a good one. 5. Námo is alittle different from the others and try too keep alittle away from them, just look at where he's home is placed ! And why Manwë came close : Námo only take orders from Manwë, and wont do anything unordered, well, not much that is...... __________________________________________________ __ |
