OK seriously - I like traditional SA food (not all though) and Greek, Moroccan and Thai foods. I'm a bit of a cuisine slut (meaning I like all kinds of food)

Greek food is yum, 'specially keftedes, the way they do aubergine, humus, tzatiki, meze platters Moroccan is very spicy - they use a lot of different tastes together (like a lamb curry dish with almonds & dried apricots etc) I'm a cuisine slut with good taste

Maybe there should be a food thread too. We've totally dominated 2 threads about completely irrelevant matters.
Annoyance- Still that dang-namit (Is that how you say it? It's that Grandpa Simpson thing) 90 second rule. At least they made changes to editing and deleting posts. |

Rare that it happens but I hate it when people tell me "not to feel that way". I dont consider it consoling at all. I also hate it when people always have their mouths wide open. It's stupid that i feel this way, but it really bothers me sometimes.

I get annoyed when people talk about the LOTR movies in the book forum. It also annoys me when people who like the movies wont read the books even though I ask them very nicely. *glares at mother*
I get annoyed when people don't walk fast enough and I get stuck behind them, and when the modem disconnects for no reason. I've never had any problem with the ninety seconds rule...how quickly do you read and post, spammers?

I hate it when people start SHOUTING FOR NO APARANT REASON! VERY ANNOYING!
ahum.... I also hate the fact that my sister can't leave the computer for 5 seconds so I can clean the floor. Seriously, she starts yelling at me as soon as I pull the chair (with her still in it) backwards.

a) In one of those April Fool's Day threads, the one where 'Mooters demanded things, they demanded the ability to delete their own posts. Then, later, when I was posting, I noticed that you could delete a post (I don't know if you could previously) So I thought you guys gave us the option b) When you edit a post, it no longer says EDIT: ..... , which was really annoying, as I'm a huge fan of editing my posts, especially when it's really late and it's obvious my brain is not functioning as well as it should. I'm still a newbie, I don't know if these are changes or not. Sorry! |

That editing text still comes up. Only sometimes it randomly decides not to.
*checks* Gar. Not working now. Typical. Well, you see what I mean: sometimes it comes up, and sometimes it doesn't.... Edited text turned up on second edit.

Really? It usually doesn't for me. Although now I've got a separate issue. Some links aren't working on Entmoot, something to do with a server. Damn server issues.
I'll edit now to see if still comes up. No offence, I hope it's just a curse on you BoP. I want the freedom to edit without the text popping up to remain, thanks. |

If I edit really fast after I posted, the little message doesn't appear. If I take longer between editing and posting, the message comes up. At least that's the way it happens on my computer.
I found a new annoyance: doors that klick back out of the lock. You pull them shut, you turn around and take a step or two and....klick ... the door goes open again! And you can go back and fiddle with the handle until it stays shut. Nassty door.

The edit notice doesn't come up anymore! Great! I will seem "more" intelligent now .....and......my posts will "mess with minds"!
I hate repeating myself! (people in my house need to learn to DO WHAT I SAY! within ....oh, three minutes would make me happy. ) If I have to repeat myself more than three times, I get that steam coming out of my ears. (poor husband might have a hearing problem from all the band noise! Maybe I should just start yelling all the time! ) ) In the same vein, doesn't it drive you nuts when someone mumbles, and you go .....what? (second mumble) What? (mmmf, mmffmn,mm) WHAT!! more steam out of ears. sigh I need a vacation!

About the edit tags. Vbulletin allows you 90 seconds to edit your message without leaving tags. If you take longer, it will leave them.

And about the delete thing: I don't think you can delete them. I seem to recall that I tried to delete a double post one time back when I was a regular user and it didn't work. Gave me some kind of message that I had to be a moderator or admin to do that.
