Pez are these little candies that are kind of like sweettarts. They're shaped like a rectangle and they come in a dispenser that has a head on it (of famous characters, like Bugs Bunny or Superman). People collect the dispensers. I wish I still had some of mine from the seventies.
I used to collect many things, but since I have no room for anything else, I no longer add to them (except for my joker collection -- I collect jokers from different decks of cards. Save 'em for me if you find a good one ). I have a rock collection, coin, stamp, shell, button (both kinds), postcard, key, keychain, others I can't think of right now. I've just had to get rid of my beloved bottle collection because we're moving and let's face it, what's the point of moving two big boxes full of bottles across the country? I did keep a few of my favorites, though. |

I have a vintage card collection. Card playing was BIG back in the 50's. I love my quilted plastic card table cover for card playing! I'll look at my jokers. What do you consider collectible. The joker or the pix on the front? I bought a big scrapbook of matchbook covers at a G/S for $1 last year. The woman said it was her husband's and she was sick of it! ( I wonder if he knew she was selling it!) There were quite a few Go Go bar matchbooks from the sixties, very entertaining!

Oh, yeah, I collect matchbooks, too. I also used to have a napkin collection and a soap collection, but tossed them both (well, I used the soaps ) due to space.
I collect the jokers mainly for the joker, but I have some that I have two of (I keep them in a photo album and have the one showing on the joker side and the other showing on the back side). Sometimes I get a duplicate joker, but since it's from a different deck, I keep it a have the back showing if it's a cool picture. I also have some cards from a deck of "naughty" cards from the forties or something (the women are drawn by a famous artist in provocative poses -- very tame by today's standards!) |

Hmmm, sounds like you collect some stuff for sentimental reasons, the matches, napkins and soaps from vacations and such? I don't have too much of that (except my baby's baby stuff ) But I have way too much stuff that "looks cool" If I ever get that digital camera, my husband can retire and sell stuff on eBay till the cows come home! What makes a joker unusual? I'll check mine out!
Sicirus....., Dog fur?? Is that from dogs you have known or strange dogs. Do you "smell it"? Last edited by Lizra : 08-25-2002 at 07:40 PM. |

I collect books, mostly fantasy, especailly mythology, folklore, legends etc. I collect stamps and buttons too. I also collect quotes and have a large name list. Off the top of my head, SarahStar, Daystar, and Glorfindel, do you have Magnus, Constantine (also spelled 'tene', or Constantino), Aching, Effie and Manley (also spelled just 'ly')?
I like the blessing, dunedainlady, could you post some more?
