Well yes, our senority pales compared to yours, doesn't it? That's one thing newbies will never be able to beat you in. Aren't you starting to feel really old, Hobbit?

I'd say maybe 5 months - then you become a regular - not an oldie. Thats just my opinion. Some members never fail to escape being newbish even after being around many months.

As far as I'm concerned, it's not how long you're here that matters.

Honestly, am I a newbie? I don't feel like a newbie, but I might still be one. Am I? Will someone who is a regualr or an oldie tell me?

Its not all how long you've been here. Being a newbie is as much a state of mind as it is just new to the board. Its not - im a memer 5 months poof ive grown so much and i am no longer a newbie. No, thats just about when I start to consider SOME members regulars.

There are worse things to be called

Of course most of the stupid postings I see on the 'moot are by people too young to know better (though I'm presumptious-I'm not that old myself) so usually I just shake my head and carry on.

I suppose the best way to tell if you're a newbie is-if you wonder if you're a newbie, you probably are.

Welcome, Elfstone&Evenstar. Most unusual name, that, and quite a refreshment. You might want to head over to the 'Welcome' thread and introduce yourself. Do you mind if I ask what kind of a book you are writing?
