If the first time you met someone you "clicked" and they said the same about you so you started dating and then you put up with a bunch of stuff and still stayed together and then your relationship was destroying your relationship with your family would you still marry that person???

Examples of trying to hard? Mentioning Lord of the Rings whenever he sees me, because he knows I like it. Constantly offering to get me thigns, or lend me things I didn't ask for (I commented on how I liked the Star Wars music, next day he came to school with the CD and lent it to me). Giving up two hours of his time so he could spend it selling tickets with me. Leaving away messages on AIM that refer specifically to me.

It's sweet, but scary.

I think it would depend on what the stuff is. Love can make you blind to things only others can see. Only when you get out of the relationship do you see where they were coming from. Maybe they just want to protect you from someone they think will hurt you.

So Star, I would just tell him that you appreciate that he cares for you, but when he does things like what you said in your post, it is annoying. Tell him that you would enjoy your friendship much more if he placed he wants and desires on equal footing with yours. This would make him seem more real. Of course there is risk involved, and he will have to take it! You might not like him....if you don't, sucking up will only make it worse. The truth will set you free (hopefully) if that's what you really want.

stuff like the ex husband making up excuses to see her like he wants to spend time with the kids,when he never was interested in them before and just more stuff like that. by the way, i'm not the one in the relationship. i'm only 14 and i've never even had a boyfriend.

Love is not sacred

Stage 1: LUST
