It was a "salt-cellar", which I'm taking to mean a salt-shaker. When I hear cellar, I'm thinking... "storehouse in basement".

To me, a cellar is the same kind of room ... so a salt-cellar must be some small "room" or container for the salt, in other words a salt-shaker.
You'd better try me with another one, then - or try whoever else who might want to join us ... Edit: And then I read your comment over in the Teacup Cafe, where you say that I should have a go anyway. OK then. Which of the seven lords Caspian was searching for, did he find first? (Possibly too easy, but never mind ...)

Perhaps that was his full name, and he only was known under the short version?
Bern it is. Your go!

Well, the "Lord" was just his title.
Oh, I get it! Yes... of course that was his full name, elipses and all! Okay, question: What was the name of the dwarf who was not "for the dwarfs!" in The Last Battle?

PRINCESS VARNA!!! Your question. I'm going to post in the Teacup... maybe we'll get more publicity... we've had a few newcomers, maybe they're Lewis freaks too!

Ok, Lewis freak question:
What was the ultimate fate of the Head of Jills's and Eustace's school? I'm only talking of her ultimate fate in life, mind you, I'm not presuming to know (or to expect you to know) anything after that. But bonus points if you remember the details in between as well ...

I KNOW THAT!!!
Her friends realized she wasn't good as a head, so they got her a job reviewing or inspecting (or something) other Heads and she wasn't good at that either, so they got her a job in Parliament where she was quite happy! EDIT: Okay.. now I read the rest of the post and see I get the possibility of BONUS POINTS!!! That is a good question, Princess!

Why did Aslan-as-a-Cat scratch Shasta in the Tombs?

To replace the stripes that Shasta got for his servant, at home. Karmic debt.
My turn? What reason did Peter give for NOT sending Reepicheep with the challenge to King Miraz?

Nope, not right. It was the princess, not Shasta, that caused her servant to be whipped.

Yay! More posters!
Even though Sis's answer is not correct, I'd like to answer her question, and then move the game back to Midge's question. Peter said that some people are afraid of mice, so it wouldn't be fair on Miraz to frighten him (only he put it much better than that, and with a straight face too ).

He confessed that he had hurt a cat once - I'm not sure whether it was by throwing stones at it, but some such misdemeanour.

Ah.
That would make Aslan a little erratic about animal rights, wouldn't it?
