Denmark beat the U.S. earlier today in the Ice Hockey World Championship in Finland. The results: 5-2. This was one of the biggest upsets in Danish history. The last time, in 1949, when Denmark played in the Championship, the poor Danes broke the record when they lost with 47-0 when playing against Canada.

And there are more American Teams in the NATIONAL Hockey League than Canadian.

Jonathan - Canada feels like the tag alone little brother to the US all the time.

We may have the longest undefended border in the world - but there is a strong rivalry. It is funny how it is the NATIONAL Hockey League, but has both Canadian and American teams - same with Baseball too.

You might as well come over and join America and be the 51st state. It's only a matter of time.

Any the Devils just SCORED breaking the tie and winning against Tampa.

By the way - my cousin is a traitor - he likes the Rangers. A team that sucks.

You didn't beat us in the War of 1812. If you did we would now be part of Canada - that's what Britain wanted - that's why they set fire to the White House and invaded the US. Britain wanted to regain it's "colonies". Britain tried it again through the Civil War by supporting the south. As Ragnarok said, it was basically a stalement - we didn't take you over and you didn't take us over. Although NOW if we wanted to take you over it wouldn't take too much.

I went to see the Sweden - Latvija game, and I´m still half deaf - those Latvijans know how to make lots of noise!

Of course Finland beat Austria, I'd expected nothing less from the Finns. It would love to see Finland in the final... with Sweden as it's opponent
