But Imrahil has elven blood in him so I think he belongs more in the elven category then in the Man category.
You know what I find this post to be one of the most interesting posts in the whole Book forum.

aragorn has elven blood of a higher pedigree tham imrahil.
Do you count him as elven too. All imrahil's ancestors save mitherallas are mortal. would you count eldarion and his sister's elven too?

When it comes to Aragorn I think his choice was made by Elros ages before. Arwen had to choose mortality when she choose Aragorn. In other cases no such choice was given and the offspring would be mortals, like in the case of Imrazor and Mithrellas. I think it is said someplace there might have been other cases similar to theirs. |

BTW I wonder if there were ever any mixed Hobbit/Man marriages/offspring? I think it is untold of, but should be fully possible as both are branches of Men. However, I think it says of Bree where such a union would be the likeliest, that the Hobbits and Men lived side by side, not together.

I'm sorry to say I would be as many a person says a hermit.
Unless a elf maiden liked me I will always be called the Lone Traveller.

It'd have to be Luthien.

Don´t forget she also almost seduced Morgoth (but lured him into sleep with her belly-dancing instead)! Must have been quite a gal in all senses...

Frodo!!
Doesn't anyone else think he's just adorable in every way?? the way i pictured him is almost exactly like elijah wood (kinda weird, actually........) as for the height issue, i could just have gandalf turn me into a hobbit. failing that, i'm short so it'd only be about a foot of difference. |

From Lord of the Rings, my first choice would probably be Faramir. I like his combination of kindness and strength, also his ability to resist the temptation of the Ring. Other choices would be Glorfindel or Legolas.
The character I really want to marry though is from the Silmarillion. From the very first time I read the book I fell in love with Finrod Felagund's selflessness and nobility. Just my luck that he's fated never to marry. |

Any (male) elf with a nice personality would do. Well, maybe one of the Rohirrim. Maybe. I'm not exactly big on horses, y'know.
Um, hate to break it to you, Inoldonil, but fair may mean something besides Nordic-looking in that context. That is, prettier, more beautiful. Anyway, blond hobbits are rare. Most are brown-haired and brown-eyed. Arrgghh! Elijah Wood has blue eyes! Inaccuracy! Read the books! Sorry, tangent. Don't take that little outburst too seriously
