No, it wasn't on the towel, it was on the front of the book.
Anyway, my favourite character is Marvin. Depression at its greatest.

i didnt think it was on the towel. ahh...marvin. second favourite. his depression made my life seem wonderful! nah only joking. as well as favourite charactors, fave parts on the books. Among mine are when Arthur is in the ground boycotting the bulldozing. heehee. and then the vogons come and say the exact same 'well the plans were available...blablabla.'. CLASSIC. what else? hmmmm.... ill leave it at thet for the moment. otherwise ill run out of things to say.

hi hi hi there! I am so new to this board it's lame. oh well anyway i just wanted to say, that all joking aside, carrying a towel with you actually is a very good idea!!! there are many earth uses as well as um... elsewhere uses. Also, my favourite characters are Zaphod (Zaphod for president!) and Ford Prefect. I have this wire thing i made that rocks named Ford. One more thing: to anyone that knows Radiohead: Notice how Marvin is reffered to as "the paranoid android"? yeah, well the song you know. also, the lyric, "when I am king you will be first against the wall" is also touche don. remember when it was said that the people who work at the one place would be first against the wall when the revolution came??? yeah well if anyone knows what im talking about say so.

I know what you are talking about. The Marketing Division of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation will be the first up agaist the wall when the revolution comes because of their stupid slogan, "[A robot is] your plastic pal who's fun to be with!"
I do not think we are thinking of the same Radiohead though. I am thinking of the song by the Talking Heads. What are you thinking of? PS: Nice to meecha Katya! Welcome to the moot.

yes you're right. talking heads does have a song called "radiohead'. i have heard it once. my dad is into talking heads. (and radiohead) radiohead however, is a different band. i often wonder if they got their name from the talking heads song, but i never did find out. anyway, radiohead, (one of my favourite bands) has a song called "paranoid android" which is a great song, about 7 minutes long, and at one point it says, "when i am king you will be first against the wall, with your opinion which is of no consequense at all." anyway, thanks for you warm welcome. it seems that in all my years of internet use, i have finally found a decent board where this is no vulgarity, no pointless arguments where people say the same things all the time, and where they actually have intelligent conversations. Way to go everyone who uses the board!
